Hi,

We have a site which was previously built in Unyson which we're currently rebuilding in Brizy Pro.

The one thing that there is unanimous agreement on is that the page displaying examples of work on the current site looks great. It's using the Unyson Portfolio widget and pulls directly through from our the porfolio post type on WordPress. At the moment this page is a masonry grid of images which displays the title of the portfolio item when you hover over it and you can click straight through. 

We're struggling to recreate anything even half as clean with Brizy using the Posts element. I'm not sure if we're missing something? Or if there is another element we can use for the same effect? This is an important page on the site so any thoughts you have would be great. Or if you could share an example of a Brizy page displaying portfolio items that would also be really great?

We have looked for examples but they all seem to require inputting the portfolio info again manually each time so as to link through to the full item.

  Hi Eilidh,

  Unfortunately, Brizy doesn't have integration with the Portfolio from the Unyson but you can try to display the Portfolio item using the Posts element. Inside this element, you have to select the category of posts you want to display and filter the results. It will not the same as in the Unyson but you can try using it.

  Also, I want to inform you that in the Brizy you can find the Gallery element that the same have the filters that can be used to display images from a certain filter. Therefore, you can use it to recreate the Portfolio from the theme.

  Thanks for this. We may try the gallery option then. Unfortunately the posts element doesn't quite give the look and feel we are going for but we'll certainly try the gallery.

  Hi Sandra,

  Sorry to be a pain but I am trying to recreate the same look and feel using background images with a overlay on hover and also the title only appearing on hover. I've achieved the latter through making the title transparent and then appearing white on hover. It works perfectly in the page builder but on the front end of the site the title isn't showing at all. Do you have any thoughts?

  Hi,

  Unfortunately, at the moment it isn't possible to add the hover element for the text element. Therefore, it isn't possible to make the text appear on the column hover or for the Gallery image and it is hard to achieve this effect with the Brizy options.
