SERIOUS problem with MENU with last updates
Hi, out of the blue I'm facing a serious issue with ALL sites I've developed with Brizy Pro, it seems related to any of last updates, keep in mind that all sites are developed with:
- Brizy PRO (updated to latest version)
- ASTRA theme (updated to latest version)
- WP 5.7 (updated to latest version)
PROBLEM: when you click on an ANCHOR linked menu item positioned on home page, result (now) is that the page scrolls to the anchor, but immediately after this RETURNS ON TOP!
In other words: NOW YOU MUST CLICK TWICE THE SAME ITEM TO GET A WORKING MENU (on items linked to an ANCHOR link) !!!!
This is what happens with chrome; with firefox it is slightly better, as firefox seems to automatically execute click twice, so after this ends on the right page's edge, but it is absolutely not a normal behaviour!
Check this: https://jumpshare.com/v/U6CPJeXTeol2xQoHWKtW
Or you can check directly on this couple of production sites:
https://lavalledegliulivi.com/
Obviously all menus were working fine until some days ago!

Hi,
I'm sorry for the late response. Somehow your post was moved to the Spam folder and for this reason, we didn't reach it. Now, we revert from the Spam folder and all is fine now.
I checked the site and I could reproduce the problem you reported. Could you please check if you have the latest Brizy Free 2.2.9.1 and Brizy Pro 2.2.6 version? Also, could you please temporary deactivate all external plugins (except Brizy Free and Brizy Pro) and activate a WordPress default theme?
In the Console of the Homepage from both sites, I encounter some error related to the Youtube URL. See here. Could you please check this inconvenience? Also, could you please check in the general -> Settings if the Site URL and WordPress URL are the same and both of them are set-up with HTTPS https://jmp.sh/pBzYHd1?
Best regards,

Hi, about your questions, you say:
Q. have the latest Brizy Free 2.2.9.1 and Brizy Pro 2.2.6 version ?
A. Yes, I already had newer too, as Brizy Free is currently 2.2.10 and Pro 2.2.7Q. could you please temporary deactivate all external plugins (except Brizy Free and Brizy Pro) and activate a WordPress default theme?
A. I've carefully tried all this, theme WP default 2021 and just Brizy free/PRO plugins. It doesn't fix issue.Q. In the Console of the Homepage from both sites, I encounter some error related to the Youtube URL. See here. Could you please check this inconvenience?
A. If you search on Google about this issue, you'll find hunderd of pages talking about this weird issue, depending from many different possible sources, among that: https, www, google tag manager and so on, so I'm investigating but is enought difficult, I'll fix it ASAP but main point is that it seems have nothing to do with menu's problem, as it is a wide spreaded issue.Q. check in the general -> Settings if the Site URL and WordPress URL are the same and both of them are set-up with HTTPS ?
A. yes I confirm that url is right and set-up with https.I've set up an admin login for you to let you check this issue. It's a production site, however for test purpose you can quickly deactivate and reactivate plugins if you need to do it

Thank you for all these details. I notice that you already send us the WP credentials to this site. Therefore, I created a private ticket for this request. We will investigate the site with our developers and testers and when we will have a response, will inform you in the private ticket we created.
You have to receive a notification about the private ticket in the inbox of your email. Could you please check it?

Hi, I want to send you some updates:
1 - it's absolutely shure that the youtube's related error showed inside Console is NOT related with menu's issue, as I've tried to totally remove video: error goes on, but issue still stays there
2 - it seems to me that Youtube's error is related with the way you have coded Youtube's embedding inside Brizy (maybe related too to some Youtube's policy update or whatever), so I think you have to check your coding about Youtube embedding. Check this post please: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50276077/youtube-api-and-cross-origin-requests

I just sent you before login details, why do you ask me these again and again? Why don't you check for these?
In your first answer you say "I checked the site and I could reproduce the problem you reported." and now say "we couldn't reproduce this problem on our sites"... ???????????????
You refer to a ticket number, but where is teh ticket system to follow tickets?
I've got this message, is this one you refer to? You say here that if I sent credential it's OK, so what now more?
Hi Enrico,we are doing our best to answer your ticket (11097) ASAP. Usually it takes 24 hours to get the problem solved, but if there is a bug that may require coding, it may take up to 3 days or more.To help us to solve your issue faster, will be great if you can provide your WordPress installation link, username and password from your WordPress dashboard, as well FTP details, in case you get some errors or plugin appears broken.(This is an automatic message, if you’ve included your WP login credentials when you submitted your ticket, please disregard this message.)

Hi @Enrico,
Yes, in your inbox email you received the notification about creating the private ticket. If you receive this message "Hi Enrico, we are doing our best to answer your ticket (11097) ASAP. Usually, it takes 24 hours to get the problem solved, but if there is a bug that may require coding, it may take up to 3 days or more...", then we can be sure that you received it. My colleague Natalia, already send you a reply regarding this problem in that private message. Could you please check it? In general words, she said that the problem you encounter sent to our developer team and they will check it. When Natalia will receive a notification from the developers regarding this problem, she will inform you too in that private ticket.
Thanks!

Hi @Vantrinh,
If you want to hide the hamburger title, you have to add the Custom CSS to hide it. I can suggest this Custom CSS code to the Menu options -> Settings -> Advanced -> Custom CSS. See here.
.brz-mm-navbar {
display: none !important;
}Best regards,
Sandra0 -
Or
brz-mm-navbar {
Background-color: inherit;
}It can also solve this problem, but I don't want to overdo css for things you guys can do well.

Hi, here is about ONE MONTH that you said that you was able to reproduce on your side the issue and was investigating on it and so on... I sent you login details too.
How long will have to wait more to get an answer, or, better, a fix ???
This kind of extreme delay is not acettable neither in covid times.
