Buttons
Good Morning Support,
I am running Brizy version 2.2.8 and Brizy Pro 0.0.35 and when I try to edit a button on a site it is not allowing me to edit it. Instead it will click the button and cause it to go out of Brizy. Normally when you hover over a button it would come up with an arrow and then you can change things about the button. We have multiple sites built with Brizy, I tested on another web site and had the same result. So I must be doing something wrong.

Hi,
Could you please update the Brizy Free and Brizy Pro to the latest versions? At the moment we have the 2.2.9.1 version for Brizy Free and the 2.2.6 version for Brizy Pro. Do you receive the same problem?
Thanks!
Best regards,

I updated that and then I start getting PHP errors. So I updated that and now it is saying the following message
Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.
I checked another website and they are getting the same message. I am not sure if Brizy updates are breaking some of the sites but I really need to get this resolved. I am unable to get into the wpadmin page so I am attempting to upload the latest version of Wordpress and see if it will allow the sites to come back up.

When I go to the FTP and rename Brizy plugins I am able to get into the wpadmin. I think this is a Brizy issue so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello @
Thank you for the post.
It seems there is an issue with the php version and the last Brizy update. Can I ask you to update the php version to #7.2? Can you send me an update if it will work right after?
Thank you!
Natalia

My options are 7.0, 7.1, 7,3 and 7.4. I can also put it back to 5.4. On any of the 7.X I get this message.
Warning: Use of undefined constant WP_CONTENT_DIR - assumed 'WP_CONTENT_DIR' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home2/pinnacle/public_html/wp-includes/load.php on line 141
Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress. When I put to 5.4 I get this messageFatal error: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 7.2.5". You are running 7.1.24. in /home2/pinnacle/public_html/wp-content/plugins/brizy-pro/vendor/composer/platform_check.php on line 24
There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Like I said when I remove the plugin I am able to get into the wpadmin on my test site. Feeling like this is snowballing since all we wanted to do was edit the buttons.
Thanks for help and look forward to further help.

On my test site I am trying to load up WordPress 5.7 RC2 to see if that makes any difference.

Hi,
We would like to check your dashboard to investigate deeper this issue. Could you please send us the WP credentials to this site?
We have created a private ticket for this request. You had to receive a notification regarding this by email. Your ticket number is #10911. Could you send us in that private message the WP credentials to this site? Thanks!

Good Morning Sandra,
I am not sure how to private message here. If you say this is a safe place to put those, then I can. I just want to be sure. Also this is effecting a bunch of our sites that are running Brizy. There are 2 problems. 1st is when we upgrade PHP it breaks the connection with WordPress which is generating the message below
Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.
2. Once we update Brizy it is requiring the PHP to be upgraded and the only way I can get around it is to rename the Brizy Pro plugin then set the PHP to 5.4.
In the end I think this is more of a WordPress to PHP7 problem but is happening to all the sites with WordPress and Brizy. I am not a WordPress expert and just had a staff member that liked building the sites with Brizy. They are no longer here and I am trying to fix it.
Thanks and please let me know. I can give you access of my test site WordPress and CPanel then I can give you another site that is in production with CPanel access.

Thanks Sandra, Natalia was able to get my test site back up and is looking into the other sites to get those backup. I am still having the issues with the Original post. I need to change a button and not able to edit the current button. You can use the login information in the other ticket to see what I am talking about but I am editing the Home Page and trying to change the link that the button goes to.
Thanks again and I look forward to hearing back,
Mike

Hi,
I checked the button for the homepage and also created a new test page to be sure that this problem doesn't happen on other pages and found that in both cases the buttons are working fine and I could change and edit them. See here how is working the buttons on the homepage and here how it is working on the test page.
Therefore, could you please delete the browser cache and check them again?
P.S. The test page I created is set-up in private mode, therefore, the site visitors and Google can't find it. You can delete it.
Best regards,

Thanks Sandra, looks to be working for you. I will clear cache and try it again. Thanks for the help and you can close the case. Since it is on my end I will figure that out.
Thanks again for all the help and A+++ support here. Highly recommended!
