Dynamic Audio?

    Hi,

    Yes, is it possible. For this, you have to create a new custom field where you will add the SoundCloud link to the song. Then go to Posts and add links to the Soundcloud song. After this, go to the template you created for these custom posts or posts and add the Audio element. In the Link field, you have to select the name of the custom field you created for the Soundcloud link https://jmp.sh/0DWTDPo.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,
    thank you for your reply! Unfortunately I can’t get it to work …
    When adding the audio element and opening the link field I can choose from different sorts of link types — but custom field names are not being shown. It’s also not working when selecting Custom URL and typing in the name of the custom field by hand.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

    Could you please check if you followed all these steps to add the link to the posts? I created a custom post type "Cars" with custom fields but if you were done with regular WP Posts, the steps are the same.

    1 - Created a Custom Post Type - Cars;
    2 - Go to ACF and created a Field Group "Test";
    2.1. - One Custom field is named "Audio" and has the "URL" type;
    3 - Set the rule to the Field Group "Test" to show these Custom Fields in the "Posts Type is equal with Cars (my Custom Post type)";
    4 - Go to Cars and add the SoundCloud link;
    5 - Go to the Brizy Template I created for Car posts (which has the display condition "Include - Cars -All") and added the "Audio" element;
    6 - For this element, for the "Link" option, I selected the dynamic option and certainly the "Audio" field;
    7 - Saved the template and previewed one of the Custom Post;
    8 - All is working fine.

    I created a video to illustrate all these details. Hope it will offer an image doze of this theory. The video you can find here https://jmp.sh/nslgutl.

    Let us know if we can help you with something else. If you still receive the same problem, please make screenshots or a video with how you create the Custom Field, Posts and how it is working. You can make a similar video and I will try to help you.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,
    thanks a lot for your detailed answer!

    I have set up my custom "Audio" field in functions.php which has the "URL" type. But as I don’t use the ACF-Plugin I have problems to understand how I can make „Audio“ to appear on the links list. Do you by any chance have an idea how to do so?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, I can't help with the custom field set in the functions.php file but I can suggest using the ACF plugin. It is free and easy to use. Also, we have an article about ACF functionality. See here. Also, you can re-watch the video I send you. If you will encounter some questions or unclear, please ask us and we will be happy to help you!

    Best regards,
    Sandra
