Link button to email

I'm trying to link a button to email... selecting link URL and typing mailto:myemail@mydomain.com

but it doesn't work... this is on GephartCreative.com/share-your-experience

how can I do this? Here's a screenshot of what I tried:

  Hello Michelle,

  The "Email My Testimonial" button on your webpage leads to your email address. When clicked, it opens the default email client on a laptop or mobile device, allowing users to send you an email. Do you mean that this does not happen at your end?

  Yes, it appears to take no action... perhaps that is because on my PC I don't use an email client but the app for Titan and Proton... not Outlook. But it works on my phone! I guess I'll leave it as is... it "wasn't working" because I no longer use an email client. Thank you, KC George!
