    Hello Edwin,

If you do not plan to add a blog to your website later, using blog posts for adding portfolio/ case studies is the best approach. There are broadly two ways you can add blog post content

    1. Blog post content in Gutenberg:  One approach is to add your portfolio/case study content in the Gutenberg editor. You also need a Brizy blog post template to give your case study/ portfolio a Brizy design. Kindly follow the procedure at WordPress Blogging: Templates in Gutenberg Posts. In this approach, your case study content is presented using the Gutenberg blocks.
    2. Blog post content in Brizy: Another approach is to add your blog post content directly in Brizy. Kindly follow the procedure at Create Your WordPress Blog with Brizy: The GLOBAL BLOCKS Way If you are more confortable creating portfolio designs using Brizy, this is a better approach.

Hi, I already have blog posts, but I’m wondering if there are alternatives to the blog post method. Do you think that’s still the best approach, or would you suggest something different? I’d prefer not to combine my posts with my portfolio or case studies.

    Hello Edwin,

If your website already has a blog, the best option is to add a Custom Post Type (CPT)  called "Portfolio" to your website and use the CPT to develop your portfolio pages. In the screen recording at https://jmp.sh/fTleIUIt, I demonstrate how you can add Portfolio CPT using the "Pods" plugin. If you have questions as you develop porfolios using the CPT, kindly get back to us.
