Critical Performance Regression - LCP 11.7s, PageSpeed Score 28/100

Hi Brizy team,

My site's performance has dropped dramatically, PageSpeed Insights shows critical issues:

Current Performance: 

• PageSpeed Score: 28/100 (was much better previously)
• Largest Contentful Paint: 11.7s (critical - should be <2.5s)
• Total Blocking Time: 440ms
• Cumulative Layout Shift: 0.922

Root Causes (from PageSpeed report):

1. preview-priority.pro.min.css (Brizy's file) blocking render for 1,340ms
2. 619 KB unused JavaScript loading before content
3. 281 KB unused CSS
4. Render-blocking resources delaying LCP

My optimization efforts:

• Hero image: 86KB WEBP (optimized)
• No unnecessary plugins/code added
• Issue affects multiple pages

I'm also getting an seo error for one page that saying 'too large html size'. Stats above are for this page, but the homepage is also showing critical on pagespeeds test.

  Hello Ross,

  https://www.cplimesolutions.net.nz/optimise, being a relatively a long page, the number of elements in the page is much higher, hence page performance will be lower compared to a smaller page. There are certain factors that can improve the page performance though. Kindly consider these suggestions depending on how important these aspects are to page's objective. 

  • Under CMS > Popup and Alerts, I see 9 popups. Kindly delete the ones you are not using on any of the pages. This can reduce the page size.
    
  •  reCAPTCHA in the popup form attached to the "Contact" button in the header has errors. Remove reCAPTCHA and add it add it again to get rid of the errors.
     
  • If you can remove the popup video attached to the hero section and link it to a page, the page size can further reduce
    
  • Replace the "Map" element in the footer with a map image and link it to Google map to avoid loading several map related files during page load.
     
  • If removing Facebook Pixel traking and Google Analytics tracking is possible, it can reduce close to 30 HTTP requets.

  In case, it is possible to implement all of the above suggestions, it can

  • Bring down page size from 2.46 MB to 1.26 MB
  • Fully loaded time can go down from 14.2 S to 1.8 S
  • Total HTTP requests can reduce by 50%
  • Increae the PageSpeed Insights score from 28 to 60
