Menu Alignment
Hi Team,
i am creating a new page and have a small issue with the alignment of the menu.
www.pointgut.at
The page is still in Maintainence mode so i send you the wordpress login data via mail
The issue is that if i creat a new page and add it to the menu and when i click through the menu entries when i click on the Menu entry XXX the menu moves a little bit.
i also tried to creat a new page but it is the same?
Can you help me with this?
Big thanks

Hi Bernd,
Thank you for contacting us.
This behavior is usually caused by a small style difference between the normal and hover/active states of the menu item.
It’s possible that the font size on hover is slightly larger, or that a border is being added when the menu item is hovered or active. Please check the hover state of the menu and make sure the font size matches the normal state. If there is a border applied on hover, you can either remove it or add a transparent border to the normal state so the size remains consistent.

This should prevent the menu from shifting when you move between items.
Please try this and let me know how it goes.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,
thanks for your information and the video but the issue is still there
When you click on the entry menu so that the page is loading on "Veranstaltungen" the whole menu moves a little bit (just some pixels to the rigth) if i switch through the other menu entrys the whole menu stays at the same position0 -
Hi Bernd,
Thank you for the update.
The slight shift you’re seeing is actually by design and is related to how the browser handles the scrollbar.
The Veranstaltungen page currently has no content, so there’s no vertical scrollbar on the left side of the browser. When you navigate to a page with content (such as Rezeptideen) the scrollbar appears, which slightly reduces the available viewport width. As a result, the menu shifts by a few pixels. When switching between pages that all have content (and therefore a scrollbar), the menu stays in the same position.
This is demonstrated on this screencast - https://youtu.be/cBbi4LO5eXw
So the behavior is expected and comes from the browser’s scrollbar appearance rather than from the menu setup itself.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Best regards,
