Issue with Black Friday purchase vs Auto-renewal (Duplicate Subscriptions logic)

    Hello Karol,

When you have an existing subscription and you purchase a new one, it gets stacked as a new plan.  A new purchase does not renew your existing subscription. This comes across as a standard pratice among SaaS businesses. Have you come across a software business that follows the pricing strategy you have mentioned?

To avoid double billing, these are the two options you have

    1. Cancel the Freelancer WordPress plan that was purchased on November 16, 2025 and get a refund. You are within the 30 day money back guarantee period until December 15.
    2. Cancel the Freelancer WordPress plan that was bought on December 6, 2024. This will stop future renewals. Unfortunately, this transaction is not eligible for a refund because as per our refund policy at https://www.brizy.io/terms-and-conditions, refunds are not available for renewals of existing subscriptions.

"Brizy offers a 30-day refund policy for new monthly or yearly subscriptions. Refunds are not available for:

    • Renewals of existing subscriptions
    • Lifetime licenses
    • Additional purchases, add-ons, or custom services
    • Services not purchased directly through brizy.io"

    Hi,

I have followed your suggestion ("Option 1") and cancelled the Freelancer WordPress plan purchased on November 16, 2025. Please proceed with the refund for this transaction ($39.60) immediately to my original payment method.

Regarding your question about other software businesses: Yes, actually, the logic I mentioned is standard for many major services. For example, NVIDIA GeForce Now, PlayStation Plus, Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft 365 all operate on a "time-stacking" basis. If you buy a subscription while one is active, it extends the validity period rather than starting a parallel, redundant plan.

I am disappointed that due to your rigid policy regarding renewals, I am forced to refund the Black Friday promotional deal and stick with the full-priced auto-renewal. This does not feel like a customer-centric approach.

Please confirm once the refund of $39.60 has been initiated.

    Regards, Karol Winiarek
