new client - ecomm shop in 2 languages
Hello
we are a whitelabel of Brizy (webfabriq.com) and we have our first ecomm client that needs a shop in 2 languages (RO+EN). If we get the Business add-on for the Shop, can we implement now a bilingual shop based on Brizy+ecwid? IF yes, please let me know if you have available some guide/videos showing the steps of building a 2 languages shop?
Thank you,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Thank you for reaching out.
We currently have an ongoing issue with translations, which has already been raised to our developers. As a result, it’s not working properly at the moment. Once we have an update, we’ll get back to you.
We’re also working on an official guide for setting up bilingual shops, which will be published soon in our Help Center. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Best regards,

Thank you, Ariel. But right now , can i build an ecomm shop in a single non-english language?

Hello Dan,
Yes; you can setup a non-english single langauge shop using Brizy Shops. For non shop pages like Home, Contact, About etc, you can set the site default site language under CMS > Project Settings > Translate

For the Shop pages and shop elements, you can change the default store langauge under CMS > Project Settings > Shop > Regional Settings > Language. However this option is available only in the "Shop Unlimited plan featured at https://www.brizy.io/pricing-cloud-shops The Shop Business and Shop Venture plans do not have this option.

Hi KC , thank you for your answer. A note though, multi lang stores are available in Business plan also. Please confirm this , as i might make a confusion on the feature you are referring.

Hello Dan,
If you want to keep the default store langauge as English and add additional langauges to your store, the "Shop Business" plan would be sufficient. However the option to change the default store language to a non-English langauge is available only in the "Shop Unlimited" plan.

Hello Dan,
This is how currently Brizy Shop is designed. We will work on making this option available in all 3 plans in the future.

Hi KC, that would be my intention, but per Ariel's first answer, the dual-lang store (with the main in EN) is not yet "ready for production".
TBH, i thought the multi-language shops mean also the ability to have the store in another lang by default... also i cannot find this detail, crucial for single lang non-english ecomm stores in the Compare Shop plans table neither..

Hello Dan,
The "Venture" and "Business" plans not having the "Change Store Language" option is not on purpose, but rather by omission. This issue has been escalated, and this option will be accessible in all plans. That is the reason it is not included in the Compare Shop plans table.

Thats great news! Thank you KC

@KC George - are there news about the “Change Store Language” feature being available in Venture and Business?

Hello Dan,
Our developers have looked into this issue. The section of Brizy Shops which displays the "Change Store Language" option is an iframe from Ecwid, in which we just display what comes from Ecwid (we do not control it). We have integrated the Ecwid Enterprise version in Brizy Shops; looks like there are some differences between the retail version of Ecwid shop and the Enterprise version we have integrated. We are in discussion with Ecwid about this; however, we still do not have a resolution.
