auto play video muted

Am I correct to assume that when you toggle a video to AutoPlay and the Mute toggle below it dissapears, the video is set to mute? And is there any way around that (because I set the player controls to hide).

  Hello José,

  You are right; when you set a video to Autoplay, it will be muted automatically. This is because of the Autoplay policy of most modern browsers. You can see the browser policies on video auto-play at

  • Safari: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/webkit/delivering-video-content-for-safari
  • https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/block-autoplay

  Only when there is no audio track in the video or when the video element has the muted attribute does autoplay start. Brizy mutes auto playing videos because this is a commonly adopted browser policy.
