Brizy Cloud Shop: Account page display issues, email template customisation, and custom labels
Hello there,
I have signed up for Shop Business plan.
I'm testing the greentrading.brizy.site. I have a number of issues.
1. There is a problem with the display of the My Account page after customer sign-up.
I am using the Sign-up function that is available by default in Brizy Shop.
On the My Account page, I added a Gmail address and clicked "Get Sign-up Link"

I received an email in my Gmail inbox.

I clicked on the link and then it sends me back to the Account page and it's displaying incorrectly (looks like the content is displayed twice overlapping with each other) when the window is wider than 1040px. Image attached. When I reduce the size of the window to about 1016px then it displays correctly. The problem doesn't show in screenshots (weird) so I took a photo.

2. How can I customise the emails templates (text and button colours etc) like in the email earlier?
3. How can I customise the custom labels on the site? I found a place to edit custom labels once but I can't locate it again.
4. On Shop Settings>General>Proceed with Wizard which settings can be changed here? I tried making changes to settings via the Wizard but they don't seem to work. Unfortunately, there are a number of settings available via the Wizard not available to change elsewhere.
Please help.
Best,
Swee

Hello Swee,
- I could reproduce the issue you have mentioned at https://greentrading.brizy.site/shop/account. We have escalated this to our developers and we will look into it.
- You can customize notification emails under CMS > Project Settings > Shop> Notifications. However some email notifications like the one above are not included here.

- You can edit store label under CMS > Project Settings > Shop > General > Regional Settings > Language Settings. Please see https://jmp.sh/MhIUD24a
- The setup wizard guides you through essential shop setup. The steps that are covered should be also be available in one of the tabs under CMS> Project Settings > Shop. Please let us know if you find a setting in the setup wizard missing under CMS> Project Settings > Shop.

Hello KC,
1. Customer sign up
For. now, I've deactivated the Shop customer accounts and allowed Guest Checkout for ordering. But I want to activate the My Account function when this is fixed.
Is it possible to use the Register/Login function on Brizy Cloud in the meantime? Or is that a bad idea? Will this allow me to customise the email templates for customer sign up? Who does the email sending then if I use your default login function? Is it still Amazon SES?
2. Thank you. I have seen which email templates I can edit. But it's a shame I can't edit the customer sign up email templates because they are not formatted correctly. There needs to be more spacing between the salutation (hello), body, and closing. It looks unprofessional at the moment.
Are you able to change the default email template for customer sign-up process so there is more spacing? Also, can the default button colours be more generic (e.g, white text on black bg, or black text on white bg with a black border) I do not need any text changes.
3. Thank you. I've been able to edit custom labels.
4. When I have a free moment, I will list all the different missing settings for CMS> Project Settings > Shop

Hello Swee,
- Brizy Cloud's native registration/login feature is not compatible with Brizy Shops, so it is not an option.
- Brizy Shops is a white labelled ECWID store and its features are powered by ECWID. There isn't much we can do about it at present because ECWID doesn't offer an option to modify the "My Account" email notifications. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi KC,
Thank you for your replies.
1. Sign up email templates.
This is disappointing however. Is there an option to add the ability to customise sign-up and ALL other email templates in a future update?
One of the reasons I paid extra for Shop Business annual plan ($315) instead of Shop Venture ($140) is because I wanted to use the Abandoned Cart feature and subscriptions for my site. Without the ability to customise the email templates so they look professional, and not look like they are created by an HTML amateur (unlike all of Brizy's other templates), the upgrade was pointless. Please let me know.
2. Customising cart and account pages.
In addition, I also have the same issue as other customers.
I would like to customise the cart and account templates, in particular relating to the section relating to legal policies. In the UK, it's recommended or customers to proactively agree to legal policies due to data protection law, but the display looks really bad and amateurish with the commas between the listed policies. So I have removed it for now until there is a solution. The way it is displayed would It would make potential customers doubt if this is a genuine business or a spoof site as other beauty shopping sites in the UK are of a very high professional standard.
Screenshot below of checking out using a guest account (on live site not in the Brizy Cloud Admin)

Screenshot below of My Account template front page from Brizy Admin, not able to see any other pages/templates to customise.

Please suggest a workaround for sign-up emails now, if possible, so I can present my online shop as a reputable trustworthy business.
Otherwise, do you suggest guest checkout is the best option for now?
With regards to the HTML formatting in the legal policies sections, please offer a workaround too. This is very important to my site.
3. Staging site
I would like to keep a staging site and a live site so there is a back-up but also so I can try out new ideas on the staging site. How should I copy the site onto an existing Brizy subdomain? If I delete the site, and make a duplicate of the live site, I find that it will not let me use a previous Brizy subdomain.
4. Some elements did not get copies across when I duplicated the site. For example none of the custom text labels were copied across. I think this is a bug, Please help too.
Best,
Swee

Hello Swee,
Let me go over your questions.
- Sign up email templates. Adding more templates to the list of editable email templates is something ECWID will have to do at their end. Hence an option to customize sign-up and all other email templates may not be available in the near future. We do not have a workaround for customizing the sign-up emails. Guest checkout may be the only option for now.
- Font mismatch in the Product Details, Cart and Account pages: We are working on mapping the Cookie banner and the legal text fonts to a Brizy global style. Kindly consider removing links to legal docs and adding it to the website footer until we can fix this issue.
- Staging site: Brizy does not support the staging feature officially. However, you can make changes to your staging site and when you are ready to go live with the new changes, add the custom domain to the staging site. Modify the CNAME record of your domain to point it to your staging site.
- Project Duplication: The Project Duplication feature was developed primarily for Pages, Posts and Custom Assets. Since Brizy Shop was added after a few years of developing the project duplication feature, it did not include shop components. Over a period of time, we will include more shop components in the Project Duplication feature.

Hello KC,
Thank you for your detailed reply.
Unfortunately, the fact that ECWID, and not Brizy, that controls which are the editable templates makes it difficult for me to create the professional shop I want.
Hence, I have submitted a request for the subscription to be cancelled and refunded yesterday on October 2nd. I only received a message that the request has been forwarded to the responsible team, and no other information.
Please tell me how long the refund process will take. If the refund is not processed by October 8th, last day of the 30-day money back guarantee period. will I still get my money back?
Thank you for all your help.
Kind regards,
Swee Whitehouse
