Wordpress header and footer missing on website

hello,

I'm contacting you because all of my websites are missing their header and footer. I always need to manually sign in then make a modification to the page then update and publish to see the header and footer back on. This is a WASTING MY TIME !!! and it's not the first time...

Do you have a long-term fix for that ?

  Having similar issues with menu on a site, though I get the error message that page cannot be updated when trying to fix.

  If anyone else is having Menu issues following the latest update, I followed the instructions on Wordfence firewall settings in this thread and got my menu working again.

  Following Timothy's note worked for sites we manage running Wordfence.

  Essentially:

  • Disable the Wordfence plugin (choose the first option to "Keep all Wordfence tables and data")
  • Edit a page that needs the menu (homepage is my go-to) & Update
  • Verify that it worked (load the actual webpage). Depending on the site, I've also had to delete the menu and then put it back for it to display
  • Reenable the Wordfence plugin
