Px VS REM
Hello and thanks for the recent webinar. While waiting for Brizy Shop, I decided to launch a site with Brizy WordPress and Ecwid. So far, I'm happy that I went this route. I do have a few questions now. I notice that px is the default method of sizing fonts and yet I was told that REM was a more accurate way to display, especially with a phone app. With Brizy Shop, do you recommend px as the default system. If not, is there a "switch" that will allow the fonts to appear in REM as the default? I notice that your webinar used a white background for product images. Do you recommend white because it speeds up the display of your pages? Just curious as to what the consequences are for using colored backgrounds. Finally, what format do you recommend for importing and exporting CSV data? I assume it is UTF-8. If so, I know that there are issues with Microsoft Excel having issues with UTF-8. Do you recommend a software that is stable for importing the CSV data? I like Excel, but special characters (non-alphabetic/numerical) symbols can create havoc. As a result, I have started using LibreCalc, which seems to handle the UTF-8 more gracefully. Any opinion on this? I am getting ready to start moving my WordPress site to the Shop and will appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Hello Wil,
Even though Pixel is the default font size option in Brizy, you can also set font size in "Rem" and few other options in the Typography toolbar. Kindly checkout these options. You will have to select these option for every text you add. "Rem" cannot be set as the default text size option globally.

White backgrounds are very common for product images in e-commerce. They help products stand out, provide a clean and professional look, and minimize distractions for the customer, allowing them to focus on the product. Below is an example from Amazon. It is primarily for aesthetic reasons and not for better page performance.

You can have colored background for your products, if it make sense. Have a look at https://medium.com/design-bootcamp/background-color-ideas-which-is-perfect-for-e-commerce-product-photography-5d3ef21c804f for a few background color ideas.
You can import your product catalog in CSV format. You can see the procedure at https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/26419213732242. A few sample CSV files are linked to this document.
