Latest update Version 2.7.0 has lost header / footer
Hi there,
Latest update Version 2.7.0 has lost header / footer on our site https://freshspace.co.uk/
When I then edit a page in Brizy i.e the homepage I have to add the header and footer from the Global Blocks. Save it. Preview it and it works but go to another page i.e. https://freshspace.co.uk/about-us/ there's no header and footer.
Then edit that page and theres no header and footer. What's the best solution for this?
Thanks,
Darren

Hi Darren,
Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble after the recent update.
This issue has been reported in some cases following the 2.7.0 release. We’ve since released a follow-up update that addresses problems like missing headers and footers. To resolve this, please update to the latest versions:
Brizy 2.7.1
Brizy Pro 2.7.0After updating, check the front end to confirm the issue is fixed. Otherwise, try making a small change (such as adding 1px of padding to a section), and saving the page. This helps trigger a recompile and should bring back the global elements like your header and footer across all pages.
If the issue persists, feel free to share temporary login credentials, and we’ll gladly take a closer look.
Kind regards,

Hi Ariel,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, the update to Brizy 2.7.1 seems to have resolved up.
I think our main concern is that these updates are painful to deal with. We've got over 100 sites built in Brizy and having to manually fix them is both time consuming and stressful, as we've had multiple experiences of sites differing i.e. some sites loose both header and footer, some just the header and some the footer, other elements like burger menu's stopping working.
We had one client who were taking a day to go through their websites with their team, and their days started with website looking broken. Whilst we fixed it, it makes us look unprofessional.
I think Eilidh asked if this could be esculated or at least our comments past on. We're still waiting to here back from Natalia, we emailed her 29th April and 21st May. So we are concerned that either Brizy don't value our comments or aren't committed to the Brizy WordPress plugin.
Thanks,

Hi Darren,
Thanks for the update, and I we appreciate you sharing your experience.
I’m glad to hear that updating to Brizy 2.7.1 has helped, but I completely understand the bigger picture you’re raising, manually fixing over 100 sites is no small task, and the inconsistency across sites makes it all the more frustrating. I’m really sorry for the stress this has caused you and your clients.
To ensure the update works as intended, please also make sure Brizy Pro is updated to version 2.7.1, this contains complementary fixes that address various display issues, including headers, footers, and elements like the burger menu.

I’ve also passed your feedback along internally to make sure your concerns are heard by the broader team. I understand you’re still waiting to hear from Natalia, we’ll follow up on this as well and ensure your messages haven’t been missed.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,
Thanks for this.
Yes, it's a nightmare and has an impact on our business financially. Spending time fixing sites is just not profitable when we have paid work to do.
Thanks for passing on the feedback and also checking in with Natalia.
All the best,

Hi Ariel,
We've now noticed that all the sites we fixed now need fixing again. This is a real problem for us right now.

Hi Darren,
I'm really sorry to hear this, and I completely understand how frustrating it must be to deal with the same issues resurfacing after they were already fixed.
The recent updates unfortunately introduced some unexpected issues, and while our team is actively working on resolving them, it may take a bit more time. I truly apologize for the disruption this is causing on your end.
If there are particular sites or issues you'd like us to take a closer look at, please send over the details and I’ll make sure to prioritize them.
Best regards,

Hi Brizy team,
I’m experiencing a similar issue, though on a smaller scale. After updating both Brizy Free and Pro to the latest versions, the headers and footers have disappeared from my websites. They still appear correctly in the Brizy editor, but they don’t show up on the live site.
I’ve tried clearing the cache and testing in different browsers, but the issue persists.
This started after I logged into several of my sites and saw an error message saying Brizy Pro wouldn’t work until updated. I went ahead with the update, but the headers are still missing.
Could you please advise as soon as possible? Thank you!
—Adam^A follow-up. I have been playing around with it, and it now works if I do all of the following (and I'm not sure what is actually making the difference):
- Edit the header just slightly, then republish
- Deactivate and reactivate all non-Brizy plugins0 -
Hi Adam,
Thank you for contacting us., and I’m really sorry for the trouble this has caused.
We’ve just released Brizy 2.7.3 (and Brizy Pro 2.7.1), which include fixes for several of the issues reported recently. Please update to the latest versions and see if this resolves the problems on your end.
Let me know how it goes after the update.
Best regards,

Hi Adam,
Edit one of the Global blocks, save it and hey presto they appear again on the front-end.
Thanks,

Thank you, Darren and Ariel! I appreciate your help and advice on this. I'm thankful the global blocks are fixable without too much effort.
Many thanks!
