Issues with Editor Permissions & Client Workflow – Needs Improvement
Hey Brizy team! 👋 Just wanted to share some feedback regarding the client access roles and the current workflow inside the white-label platform.
I’m currently trying to give a client access through the Editor role, but:
-
When they log in, they can’t see or use any of the elements in the page builder—no images, no sections—only some text is editable.
-
On the other hand, using the Designer role, they can see and use everything in the builder. But I don’t want them creating new projects, which Designer access allows.
This feels backward. Logically:
-
Editor should allow access to the page builder with editable elements (images, text, etc.) ✅ but NOT allow creating new projects ❌
-
Designer can remain as the full-access role, including project creation ✅
Also tagging KC George here — even with Editor access, trying to change images isn’t possible at the moment, and that feels very limiting.
Another major point:
For a white-label solution, we really should be able to fully control or customize these roles ourselves. That’s the whole point of branding it our own, right?
Lastly, the Team Member / Client invitation process feels clunky and confusing. The flow for inviting clients, setting permissions, and gaining access often runs into weird errors or access issues. It’s not very user-friendly right now and really needs improvement ASAP.
Appreciate all the hard work your team is doing—just wanted to offer this feedback in hopes it helps improve the overall experience. 🙌

Hello Freddy,
Currently the Editor and Designer roles are defined with these privileges.
- Editor role allows your customers to make updates to text and images on all webpages.
- Designer role allows your customers not only to make changes to text and images, but also to alter the design of the pages. They can drag and drop Brizy elements to different pages and modify the original design.
Even through Designers can add projects, they cannot activate PRO license for a project. In case a PRO license gets used by a client, you can deactivate it. Editors can change images and texts. I have confirmed this in your dashboard. Kindly check this again.
Since granular control for customizing role definitions is not available in Brizy Cloud at the moment, white label builders also do not have it. Currently for the Team Member invitations to work well, you must follow the below workflow.
- Request Team Members to sign up with your white label builder
- Once they have a login, send them a invitation to access a workspace
- They accept the invitation by clicking on the Get Started link in the email
If your Team Members skip Step 1, they can run into errors or can have access issues.
