Trouble Connecting Custom Domain (CNAME Setup Not Working)
Hi Brizy Support,
I’m trying to connect my custom domain www.bravelylocal.com (registered through SiteGround) to my Brizy Cloud site, but I’m running into issues with the CNAME setup.
Here’s what I’ve done:
-
In Brizy Cloud, I added the domain:
www.bravelylocal.com
. -
Brizy instructed me to point a CNAME record for
www
to:[ladybuge65cc888.brizy.site]
. -
In SiteGround’s DNS Zone Editor, I entered:
-
Name:
www
-
TTL:
3600
-
Resolves to:
[ladybuge65cc888.brizy.site]
-
-
SiteGround returns an error: translate.dns.db.cname, and the record isn't saving.
I’ve made sure no other CNAME or A record exists for www
, and the format appears correct.
Can you confirm if the CNAME value Brizy provided is correct and if there are any other steps or configurations needed to make this work?
Thanks in advance!
Best,
Jeremiah

Hello Jeremiah,
A whois lookup shows that updating of DNS records is locked for your domain.
Kindly sign in to your SiteGround account and under Services > Domains> access the "Registrar Lock" option to unlock your domain. If required, take the help of SiteGround Support to unlock your domain.
After unlocking your domain, please try adding the A Record and the CNAME Record again.
