Image download option showing a different image
Hi
I am trying to offer a download option for a photograph and have a specific download button for several on the same page. However, each link for each picture goes to the same picture even though the correct file has been chosen in the "file" option of each button.
I copied the block, changed the image and linked the new image in the file option of the download button.
Have purged the cache, deleted the button to start afresh but it still opens a different image to the one it relates to.
Any ideas?
many thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your cooperation.
Upon checking, it seems the issue is related to hard caching or a CDN. I noticed that purging the cache or disabling the Stack Cache plugin didn’t have any effect. However, after rebuilding the block and adding it to the cache exclusions, the button started working as expected. You can try it on this link - https://thezangwills.com/test/
Could you check if you have access to disable or purge any server-side caching from your hosting panel, or temporarily disable the CDN, and see if that makes a difference?Best regards,

Hi
Thanks for the update. I have both purged the CDN and put it into Dev mode for 3 hours.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your patience. It seems that clearing the cache and disabling the CDN haven't resolved the issue, the button on the current page is still pointing to the incorrect image.
You may need to rebuild the page to fully fix the issue. Before doing that, I recommend adding the new page to the StackCache exclusion list to prevent it from being cached during the rebuild.
To save time, you can save the blocks above the problematic one so they can be reused on the new page. This way, you'll only need to rebuild the problematic blocks from scratch and reattach the correct images to the buttons.
Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

Hi
Rebuilt as requested but no change.
https://thezangwills.com/epk-beers-with-the-beekeeper-the-zangwills-new-single-june-2025/Added to the exclusion list, just added one block and created from scratch (not saved or copied)
It is still linking to the same picture. so weird.

I have linked the images to a Picdrop account as the single is now released and they need to get the page out for PR. Not resolved the issue using the blocks :(

Hi Chris,
Instead of uploading the image file directly, please link to the image URL instead and choose the option to open the file in a new tab.
You can use the Media Manager to copy the image URL and then paste it into the button link field.
Please try this and let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
