Payment gateway for membership site on Brizy Cloud

    Hello Daniel,

    Brizy Cloud now has the "PayPal" element to integrate payments to your website. Users can either pay using credit/debit card or using their PayPal account to pay for the subscription. To setup a paid gateway for your premium content, you can follow these steps. 

    1. Under CMS > Users> Roles, add a "User Role" called "Customer" or a "Subscriber" 

    2. Create a user sign-up page on your website using the "Login" element.
        
    3. Add a Membership page on your website and add the PayPal payment element to the page and configure your subscription payment.



    4.  Disable "Sandbox" mode in your PayPal Developer Dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard

    5. Every time, a user signs up, under CMS> Users, set the user's role to "Customer" manually

    Everything was looking good until #5 said manually... anything on the roadmap that will automate this step?

    Hello Daniel,

    Even though a feature to assign a default role to all registered users is in place, this feature stopped working and we have not fixed it yet. Hence a role must be assigned manually to all registered users at the moment.

    Unfortunately, we have not made progress on automatically assigning a role to the registered users. The role needs to be assigned manually to the users.

    Just one more thing: is there a video where this is more explained in depth? Have a look at ctctraders.com -> I have a 'free' membership which is used to collect leads -> then we go to a next level where I want to sell a part of the next level of info -> the 'customer' get's access to a new page with full trading details. So is there anything special one needs to do? Especially since emails don't seem to work (see my other request). What would be the best process moving forward for this?

    The issue with your sign-up email notifications in your account has been resolved. Please check if you receive emails when users sign up? 

    Unfortunately, there isn't video tutorial available for creating membership site that requires payment. Please try to follow the steps described above. If you need further assistance, we can arrange a Zoom call to go over the implementation strategy.
