Activation issue – License key blocked on OVH hosting (403 error)
Hello Brizy Support,
I'm encountering a problem while trying to activate my Brizy license key on a WordPress website hosted by OVH (a major European hosting provider). When I enter the license key, I receive the following error:
"The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."
After contacting OVH support, they confirmed that no restrictions or firewalls are blocking outgoing connections from their side. According to them, it appears that Brizy’s server may be blocking or not allowing requests from OVH-hosted websites.
Could you please:
-
Confirm if OVH IP ranges are being blocked or restricted on your end?
-
Whitelist or allow connections from OVH shared hosting environments?
-
Provide any technical guidance or server endpoint I should test?

Hosting: OVH Shared Hosting
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,

Hi Mathieu,
My apologies for the inconvenience. We're still investigating the issue, could you please try activating the license again? Some users have successfully resolved this by trying a second time.
If the issue persists, you can set up a local development environment and activate the license there. A tool like Local by Flywheel can help you create a local WordPress instance. Import your database into this local environment, activate the license, back up the database locally, and finally, import it back to your live site.
I've previously created a short screencast showing a similar process that you might find helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbBH136h0-U
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
