What is going on with Brizy and Version numbers (along with image block editing errors + more

We encountered an inability to edit images in image blocks (error message).  So, we immediately got concerned about Brizy's updates and WP updates.  We checked our auto-updated plugins on a handful of our sites, and the versions are different on some of our Brizy sites, even with auto-update enabled (which we are going to stop for Brizy, clearly)  The sites that didn't update to 2.6.15 are the ones failing with the image blocks, but why didn't they update?  And why is the version listed in WP and the plugin page this totally different version number, 2.510, and this is the version that is failing with images?

We also had issues deleting and reinstalling ("this folder exists") error, but tried again and that resolved.  In another site, we got a warning that we should be careful updating Brizy since a lot has changed in this version.  That is very confusing since that warning only happened on one site, and the version officially from Wordpress is older, 2.510.  What is happening?   See below annotated collage of fun
