WAF Limitation Issue and Request for Recommended Security Plugins
Dear Brizy Support,
I hope this message finds you well.
We are currently using Brizy to build our website, but we have encountered an issue related to the WAF (Web Application Firewall) settings of our hosting provider.
When Brizy performs an Ajax request during the save process, the request becomes too large and gets blocked by the WAF due to the limitations of SecRequestBodyLimit and SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit.
According to our hosting provider, it is not possible to increase these WAF limits. As a result, the only available workaround is to completely disable the WAF, which we find highly inconvenient—especially since we must disable it every time we update content in Brizy.
We would like to ask:
-
Is there any recommended way to use Brizy without having to disable the WAF?
-
Are there any alternative security measures or plugins that Brizy recommends instead of relying on WAF?
We would appreciate any advice or guidance you could provide.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Takuya

Hi Takuya,
Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry for the trouble.
Unfortunately, we don’t have control over the WAF limits set by your hosting provider. Since they’re unable to raise the SecRequestBodyLimit, disabling the WAF during content updates may be the only workaround for now.
As an alternative, we recommend using a security plugin like Wordfence. It works well with Brizy—just enable Learning Mode for a few days so it can adapt to Brizy’s actions, then switch back to “Enabled and Protecting.”
Best regards,
