Linking to Blocks not possible
Hi there,
for a customer project I wanted to place some Anchors in Links / Buttons to scroll down to specific areas.
In any case the Button and/or the Text-Link (I tried both) are not linking to the block.
IDs are set (in the link choosing prompt and the block itself to doublecheck) but the function doesnt work.
It seems like the #anyvalue is completely removed from the Link (for both, in text links and buttons) - because my try to set it manually through "URL" also ends in a empty output. Even with a slash and the full website URL it all gets cleared to zero / null / nothing.
The website is using Brizy free but for me as a customer helping her, this seems to be a big deal for this and upcoming onepagers.
Could you please double-Check? I also can give you access to the website to try it - but maybe you have a own preview space to double check this issue faster.
Thanks for your fast help!
Best,
Martin

Hi Martin,
Thank you for reaching out. To better understand the issue, could you share a screencast showing the steps you’re taking and the result you’re getting? This will help us identify what might be going wrong.
If needed, you can upload the video to https://www.loom.com or another platform and share the link. We’ll review it and assist you further.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,
thanks for your reply - I understand that you want to see what I'm facing, even when I tried to pack it into words in the first step.
This loom video shows the troubles with the button linking to blocks (or containers, IDs, etc.):

Looking forward to your inhouse solution without thirdparty plugins.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Martin,
Thank you for taking the time to create the screencast.
From what I can see, it looks like the URL anchor is being truncated or not appearing when hovering over the button, which suggests something is affecting the link behavior. This often occur when JavaScript intercepts the click or when the link href attribute is being altered or removed entirely.
I’ve tested a similar setup using Brizy Free on this demo URL, and the issue does not occur:
https://brizywp.pro-site.cloud/demo01/buttontest/To help isolate the cause, please try the following steps:
1. Temporarily switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to check if the issue is theme-related.
2. Disable all third-party plugins except Brizy, and then test the button again to rule out plugin conflicts.
3. If you’ve added any custom or third-party code (e.g., scripts or embed code) to the page, try removing them temporarily and check if the issue persists. If the issue continues after the above steps, feel free to let us know and we’ll be glad to assist further.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,
thank for taking the time to have a look at the issue.
I'm so sorry to realize that it was a Link in the container which had been putted to the front of all links, showing no hashtag to the buttons.
For more details I created another screencast:

Thank you so much for your help - and - a huge (huge!) sorry for the effort to this.
Best,
Martin
