Blog Categories and Sub Categories

Hi,

I want to automatically display sub-categories to a specific blog category on a website. I want a visual display of the sub categores - I do not want to show a list of posts which fall under the category.

How do I go about this because even when using the Archive option I only seem able to show a list of posts?

  Hello Eilidh,

  To display a list of categories and subcategories on your website, kindly follow these steps

  • Add a new menu to your WordPress website and call it "Categories" 
  • Add your blog categories and sub categories to the Category menu
  • In the Brizy template where you would like to display the categories, drag the Brizy "Menu" element and select the "Categories" menu. This will display the categories and sub categories based on the way you have designed your menu.

  Hi,

  Thanks for this, I appreciate it. However, I'm not looking to display categories and sub-categories on the menu. I'm looking to show the categories which fall under the blog rather than the individual posts.

  Hello Eilidh,

  I didn't imply that you could include the categories in the header's navigation menu. You can add it to your blog page, like shown at https://www.brizy.io/blog. You can add a list of categories and subcategories like this to your blog by following the three steps I have mentioned above.

  Hi,

  I think there's a miscommunication. I don't want a list or a menu. I want to display visual blocks. Similar in the way that you can with the individual posts. Or you would with product categories?

  Is that not possible?

  Thank you for the update.

  Currently, Brizy does not have a built-in feature to display visual blocks for categories in the way you’ve described. However, you can explore third-party Blog Grid or Post Grid plugins, which can help you achieve this functionality.
