SSL Security Error
I try to load my site and receive the following security error:
"The server's certificate is not signed by a trusted CA"

Hello Reece,
Do you see this error when you access your website in a browser, or do you see it elsewhere, like on an SSL testing website? What steps do we need to take if we want to see the same error?

The issue appears on my work device as a security alert.
I work in the sector that my website is designed for so this issue will need to be resolved so that other users within the sector don't have the same issue when using an equally as secure work device.

Hi Reece,
Thank you for the update.
I’ve checked the SSL certificate using SSL Labs, and there are no issues with it.

It’s likely that Smoothwall has not yet recognized the SSL certificate due to the recent DNS changes. As DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, please give it some more time and check again tomorrow. Let us know if the issue persists.Best regards,

Hello Reece,
The assessment by Smoothwall by Qoria firewall that the certificate is not signed by a trusted CA may not be accurate. Kindly see these reports from other SSL testing services
- https://www.immuniweb.com/ssl/www.youthloop.co.uk/g7CAaMhG/
- https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=https://www.youthloop.co.uk
Kindly create a new root certificate following the steps in the article at Resolving Certificate Errors When Browsing Secure (HTTPS) Websites and check if the issue resolves

Hello, I have waited the additional time and still experience the same issue. I am not an administrator for Smoothwall in our organisation so cannot add an exception rule.

Hello Reece,
As as this error is not due to a problem with the SSL certificate itself, I am afraid we can't offer much help. To resolve the error message, you might need to ask the staff in charge of administering Smoothwall to generate a new root certificate.
