I can't save or publish anything

When I add anything to a page and then click the publish button it gives me an error, "This page needs a refresh.  You've probably updated this page (or another page) in a different tab or browser.

I don't have any other browser open on this site.  Frustrating and I've got to update my site.  Please help.

  Kindly try the troubleshooting steps provided at How to fix the error "This page needs a refresh. You've probably updated the page in a different tab or browser" and let us know if the issue resolves.
