Envira Gallery template
Hi there,
I've created a bunch of Envira Galleries but not sure how to display them because using a Brizy template just shows a broken page with error code. See https://www.aw.freshhq.co.uk/gallery/hospitality-tite-locke/
I think the problem we have is that we've got an Envira Album that links to each gallery but we can't style the individual gallery.
I guess we could create a page using Brizy gallery, with each image linking to a Brizy page, that page then using a shortcode to display the gallery but that feels like a complecated and adding a lot of work for us.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Darren

Hi Darren,
Thank you for contacting us.
I tried to replicate the issue on my end but was unable to do so. In this example, I created a basic dynamic template for a post. The template includes a header, featured image, post content element, and footer. This is demonstrated on this screencast - https://youtu.be/lgVummoPVAA
When previewing the post where the Envira Galleries shortcode was embedded, the page functioned as expected. The error message you’re encountering might be due to a conflict. Please try reproducing the issue with only Brizy, Brizy Pro, and Envira Galleries active to see if it persists.

Hi Ariel,
Thanks for this. I think your suggestion, though great, won't work for our issue. Possibly I didn't explain myself so please see link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw4inV9HOfE
So with a Brizy template the gallery breaks and without it we have no template.
What we're trying to avoid is having to create a new page for each gallery as there are 30 of them. We'd prefer to use one Brizy template so thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Darren,
Thank you for sharing the screencast. I created a similar layout based on your example, where a dynamic template was applied to the About page - https://youtu.be/QmuTC2V6FCg
May I ask if you've had the chance to isolate the issue by activating only Brizy, Brizy Pro, and Envira Galleries? This will help us determine if there’s a conflict causing the problem.

Hi Ariel,
I think where our issue differs is because we are trying to create a Brizy template for all Envira galleries.
We are able to create a template and put in a shortcode but we have 30 galleries and we don't want to have to create 30 pages; one for each gallery.
Happy for you to login if that helps but yes, deactivated all other plugins and there's no conflict.
I think that we can't create a Brizy template without using a shortcode for the gallery, which if that is the case then we'd need to create a page for each gallery which we are trying to avoid.
Thanks,

Hi Darren,
Thank you for your cooperation. I tried to activate Brizy for Envira however, Brizy doesn't natively integrate with Envira Gallery, You can only add gallery shortcodes or embed Envira galleries into your Brizy pages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ok, to confirm. We'll have to create a seporate Brizy page for each of the 30 galleries?
Not ideal as we also won't be able to use the Envira Gallery Album which is embedded by shortcode on https://www.aw.freshhq.co.uk/interior-design-projects/. We will I think have to recreate that too as a stand alone Brizy gallery as each image links to the specific gallery.
Is there anyway that, using say Pods to create a custom content type i.e gallery that we could take URL's like /gallery/private-residence-3/ and then change the Envira gallery links to something like /gallery-old/private-residence-3/ which we'd then redirect.
Thanks,

Hi Darren,
To integrate your galleries into Brizy, you’d need to create a separate Brizy page for each gallery, which unfortunately means losing the convenience of the Envira Gallery Album functionality.
I’m not sure if using Pods to create a custom content type and modifying URLs would work with Envira and Brizy, as it may require testing.
Alternatively, you could design your header and footer using your theme’s native features instead of Brizy. This would retain Envira’s functionality while allowing Brizy for page content design.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.

We've just recreated the galleries using shortcodes. Not ideal but there we go.
