Recently lightbox images scale down in size too much

In a carousel element I activated the Open in Lightbox option for all images. One image (this is just an example, the problem exists generally for all images) has an original size of 2.254 by 1040 pixels (in the Media Library). The resulting Lightbox view the image is scaled down to 900 by 416 pixels. On a screen/viewport where much more space is available (2048 by 1152 pixels).

This extreme down-scaling started to occur just recently. I estimate within the last two to three months. Before that the particular example image filled my screen almost entirely (as I said, this concerns more or less all images). Was there an Brizy update in this time period where the sizing of Lightbox images has been changed so significantly and what can I do to amend this issue?

  What's the status of this bug fix? This is a big UI hit on our site. Two months is a long time to wait for a solution!
