    Hi Jeremy,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please share your website URL and the exact steps to replicate the issue? This will help us test it on our end.

In the meantime, try isolating the issue by disabling all plugins except Brizy and Brizy Pro to see if the issue persists.

Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

    Hi thanks for replying.

Here is the URL that I am testing

    loo********htysound-test

This is an embedded popup from toneden.

The embed is a landing page, *******

You are able to turn on popup window in Chrome for it to work but I don't want listeners of the song to have to do that. I just want them to press 1 bottom to hear music.

    Thanks

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thank you for the update.

The landing page is behaving the same way. When the play button is clicked, it opens a new tab - https://youtu.be/BGOqg7p9GVk

You may need to review the settings in the app that generated the landing page to see if there is an option to play the audio directly when the play button is clicked, without opening a new tab.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

Yes they both act the same. I guess I have 2 issues.

    1. When I go through chrome or safari on my website, looselion.com/thismightysound-test

When you click play it doesn't even click to open new page ie, Spotify.

    2. Will be the play the song directly. But honestly I will be happy, if it just opens the new page to the DSPs like Spotify.

Seems like you didn't have the 1st issue happen on your device.

Maybe everyone's settings are set different on the server they are using?

I am not sure what to do, maybe i just won't use that smartlink landing page on my website.

Let me know what you think? thanks

    Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for the update. After checking, the links are functioning properly in both Safari and Chrome. It appears that a popup blocker may be preventing the links from working on your end.

Here are the screencasts for both Safari and Chrome:
    Screencast in Safari: https://youtu.be/yyxjFBewkGs
    Screencast in Chrome: https://youtu.be/Hp5csOCExug

If you’ve seen instances where the play button plays music directly without redirecting to external platforms, there may be settings you missed while setting up your links. I recommend reaching out to the support team of the platform you're using to see if they can assist further. While we’d love to help, we’re not trained to provide support for this specific platform.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

    Hi, Ariel

That's what I was speaking about in the start of my comment.

I had already figured out on my end that I could go to preferences on either Chrome or Safari and change, allow popup windows. I just don't wait to have listeners need to go through all those extra steps to hear the song. I fear most people use popup blockers like I do.

I am just confused when I use the smartlink landing page on its own, it works without needing to allow popups, but when I add embedded link on brizy its now need to allow for a popup windows.

I wanna direct traffic to my own website and not really to the smart link's company landing page when I do facebook ads. but I can't lose listeners because of this happening.

    thanks for your help

    Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. As much as I'd love to address the popup blocker issue directly, it’s unfortunately beyond our control; popup blockers are specific to each browser and device. However, I can confirm that this behavior is unique to macOS, and you shouldn’t experience the same popup issue on Windows.

Embedding the Smartlink page inside your site is what triggers this issue, while the standalone Smartlink page doesn’t face the same restrictions. As an alternative, you might consider recreating a similar landing page directly within Brizy. You could use Brizy's buttons and image blocks to link directly to your music platforms, which would keep listeners on your site without the need for extra popups. This way, you can control the experience on your own domain, making it smoother for your audience.

Let me know if you’d like any guidance on setting that up.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

Thanks so much for all your help and time.

I took your advice and built a block in Brizy with the streaming icons.

I will work on it to make it look nicer.

Those third party smartlinks are good because they show you all the analytics of the listeners.  Its good when trying to find the right target market for my music.

I will just use them on thier own sometimes when doing facebook ads.

Anyways thanks again and have a great day Ariel!

    peace
