    Hi Ryan,

Your subscription to the Personal WordPress has been cancelled and it is scheduled to expire on October 5, 2025. As per our terms and conditions at https://www.brizy.io/terms-and-conditions, subscription renewals are not eligible for refund. We apologize for the inconvenience.

As per UK law you must provide a 14 day cooling period for any subscriptions. Please find wording from the consumer rights act.

providing a 14-day cooling-off period for most online subscriptions, during which you can cancel without penalty. Additionally, they require explicit consent for any additional payments, prohibiting default opt-ins for recurring charges.

Under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, consumers have the right to a refund for any payment initiated by a payee (like a subscription service) under certain circumstances. This includes instances where the exact amount was not specified in advance or where the payment was unauthorized. This provision safeguards consumers from unexpected charges and ensures fair payment practices.

Please issue me a refund or I will be forced to take this further.

    Hello Ryan,

Let me quote the legal clauses you have referred above

"The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 further enhance consumer protection, particularly for online and distance subscriptions. These regulations establish the right to clear and comprehensible terms before concluding a contract, providing a 14-day cooling-off period for most online subscriptions, during which you can cancel without penalty. Additionally, they require explicit consent for any additional payments, prohibiting default opt-ins for recurring charges"

Brizy.io has clear and comprehensible terms which are outlined at https://www.brizy.io/terms-and-conditions A cooling-off period is a statutory period of time that allows a person to cancel a contract or policy without penalty. Brizy allows a 30 days cooling off period for every purchase of a subscription.

The exact amount was specified in your Brizy account and you have been aware of it for a year. You have also authorized the payment by adding your payment method in your Brizy account. How do you think Brizy is violating your rights in subscription services and auto-renewals?

    Please see the below,

    *Renewal cooling off period

The DMCC Act introduces new cancellation rights that apply during the 14 day renewal cooling-off period.

As well as an initial cooling off period on commencement of the service or receipt of goods, consumers will have a 14 day right to cancel a subscription when they become liable for a ‘relevant renewal’. In practice a ‘relevant renewal’ will occur in two scenarios:

After the end of an initial free or discounted period.
After any renewal with at least a 12 month commitment.
Businesses must provide a consumer notice of each renewal cooling-off period, explain the contract is renewing and inform the consumer of the right to cancel. The notice must be provided on the first day of the renewal cooling-off period.

By law I am allowed a 14 day cooling off period after commencement of my renewal. I contacted brizy 2 hours after my renewal. I am entitled to a full refund. Please action this

2)In this Chapter, a “renewal cooling-off period”, in relation to a subscription contract, means a period—
(a)beginning with the day on which a relevant renewal of the contract occurs, and
(b)ending at the end of the period of 14 days beginning with the day after that day.

    Hi Ryan,

As per the Cooling-off rights section of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 outlined at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2024/13/part/4/chapter/2/crossheading/coolingoff-rights you appear eligible for a refund within the 14 days of a renewal subscription.

We have refunded your payment of $60 to your payment method. This payment should reflect in your card statement within 7-10 business days.
