Nonresponsive layouts for desktop, tablet, & mobile
My feature request is for two options to show a website: responsive layout & individual layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Currently, a responsive layout for desktop resizes for tablet and mobile screens following these display breakpoints:
- Desktop layout: 992 pixels or larger.
- Tablet layout: 768-991 pixels.
- Mobile layout: 767 pixels or smaller
Many times a desktop layout does not conveniently resize responsively to a tablet or mobile layout and elements from the desktop layout have to be hidden. This situation also leads many people to wish they can change/delete text, images, videos and the positions of these elements, which leads me to...
FEATURE REQUEST
To have the ability to choose between a responsive layout or individual layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile displays.
I can envision a toggle button above the desktop/tablet/mobile icons that if switched on allows a user to create a specific layout for each of the three views. This way, all elements can be arranged or created completely different for each layout and won't affect the display of the other layouts. By having this option, users can really tailor each view to each of the three display breakpoints that Brizy uses. This would involve a script that checks the viewer's display size and then serves up the correct layout.
Obviously, the Brizy user would have to do more work since they really are creating three individual, separate layouts, but the resulting views could be a lot better than having a responsive site -- which really can't look the same for all three views.
I'm not sure, if this feature request was implemented, how Brizy's current licensing would be affected but I, along with many others, would very much welcome an option to create separate layouts for each of the three breakpoints than having one layout (desktop) responsive and try to look the same on tablet and mobile.
In addition, this feature would surely bring in many new users and Brizy funding!

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We currently have an ongoing project to include a Breakpoints Manager, which should help address some of the issues you’ve described. This project has faced some delays, but it is actively in progress, and we aim to have it included soon. We understand the challenges users face when dealing with limitations in the mobile view, and this update should resolve most of the concerns you've raised.
Once the feature is rolled out, we would greatly appreciate any feedback you may have on how it can be further improved to meet your needs.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,
Thanks for letting me know about the Breakpoints Manager, it'll be a welcomed feature. However, even with the manager, the desktop/tablet/mobile layouts will likely be linked, meaning that tablet & mobile layouts will use the content on the desktop layout so that if I change text on the mobile layout then the text will also change on the tablet and desktop or if I swap out images or add images on a tablet layout then I'll have to rearrange the desktop & mobile layouts -- so the desktop/tablet/mobile layouts are not truly independent of each other with the addition of a Breakpoints Manager ... that's why I think many users, especially those with web design/programming experience would very much welcome the feature request I was referring to, having an option to keep the desktop/tablet/mobile layouts completely independent of each other so that each layout could look extremely different and have different content.
Keep well,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Your feature request is interesting and I have a few questions about it
- Do you know of a website builder that implements desktop/tablet/mobile layouts that are truly independent of each other or are you suggesting that we pioneer this concept in the website design industry?
- Are there any SEO implications of having separate websites for different devices? Google seems to index the mobile version of a website.
- Do you have a sense of the demand for such a feature?
I suggest that you add this feature request at https://www.brizy.io/ideas-and-roadmap. This will allow other users to upvote for this feature.
