Also, what happens if one inserts Open Graph meta tags into the header? In doing so, does it overwrite any OG tags that may already be inserted due to filling out the Social Sharing section, as I don't want to mess up existing code that needs to be in the header?

    Hi Daniel,

Let me describe what I have understood

    1. The social sharing preview of https://cybersecurityconference.mdsny-events.com works well.
    2. The social sharing preview of https://cybersecurityconference.mdsny.com also works well
    3. Your primary domain https://mdsny.com/ hosted with Microsoft Azure Cloud does not show the LinkedIn preview correctly.
    4. Another domain https://mdsny-events.com/ which is externally hosted also does not display the LinkedIn preview correctly.

Did I understand the scenario correctly?

For websites which are hosted outside of Brizy Cloud, the social sharing must be configured in the respective hosting servers. Depending on the technology used for hosting those websites, the procedure for adding social sharing could be slightly different

    KC,

In looking at your response, I wasn't clear enough.

The image I uploaded shows the data I entered in the Social Sharing section for the custom domain mdsny-events.com. The image also shows the LinkedIn URL, also mdsny-events.com, and the thumbnail preview is correct but the URL shown under 'Home' is not mdsny-events.com -- it is mdsny.com.

    Here is a recap:

    1. I entered all the data and uploaded a preview image in the social sharing section of the site using the custom domain of mdsny-events.com.

    2. I entered the same data and uploaded the same preview image in the social sharing section of the site using the domain of mdsny.com.

    3. I then made changes to mdsny-events.com site in Brizy. When all the changes were finalized, I disconnected the mdsny.com site and deleted it because it didn't have the updated changes. I then updated mdsny-events.com site to point to mdsny.com.

    4. Next, I duplicated the newly updated site that was using mdsny.com and put the duplicate back on mdsny-events.com so I had the same updated site to do future changes on.

I hope this explanation is clear. Basically, do all the updates on mdsny-events.com, when done, move it to mdsny.com, duplicate it, and put the duplicate back on mdsny-events.com.

    ------

So now I went to LinkedIn to create a post and entered my testing site URL: mdsny-events.com but the preview in LinkedIn displayed the correct thumbnail of the image I uploaded, but the URL under 'Home' (which I expected to be the site's title) was not mdsny-events.com but mdsny.com.

Because the URL shown in LinkedIn was incorrect when I entered mdsny-events.com, it got me wondering if duplicating a site doesn't update the social sharing information, as I did not expect that entering mdsny-events.com would display the mdsny.com URL.

    ----------

Is entering Open Graph tags in the header a good idea? Will it overwrite any that are there? I was thinking that somehow I could get 'Home' to display the site title or even the description -- as the example in Brizy Cloud indicates what is shown in social sharing (much more than what I'm seeing in LinkedIn).

    Thanks for your advice,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

LinkedIn caches the link previews for a week. To clear Linkedin link preview cache, kindly paste the URL at https://www.linkedin.com/post-inspector/ and click on 'Inspect' button.

I have done it for the URL https://cybersecurityconference.mdsny-events.com. Kindly try posting the above URL again in LinkedIn.
