How do I add an email address in the text?

I am having trouble writing an email adding an email address because the "@" symbol is triggering the AI function.  What should I do?

  There appears to be a glitch with the text element when using the @ symbol. For now, please disregard the dropdown menu and continue typing the email address as demonstrated in this screencast: https://youtu.be/9FnK9a1h9bc
