Plugin compatibility question
I'm looking at buying a plugin to accomplish an infinite scroll feature... Elementer has a builtin element in their builder for it so I'm hoping Brizy has a workaround... Below is the interaction I had with the plugin rep... will it work on Brizy?
-------------------------
My Message:
I'm using Brizy as my page builder... and I'm looking to use the
grid view for my blog... is it possible in Brizy to do that with the pro
version of Ajax Load More?
Plugin's answer:
Hi Daniel,
Is the template used for the item layout in brizy reusable in the form
of a PHP template?
If so, then yes.

Hi Daniel,
The WordPress Infinite Scroll – Ajax Load More plugin is unlikely to work with Brizy's Posts or Archive element. If making infinite scroll is important for your project, you could consider the following approach.
Make the "Infinite Scroll – Ajax Load More" plugin work with your WordPress theme and develop your blog archive page using your theme and do not give it a Brizy design. Use Brizy for designing all other pages of your website except the blog page.
For all Brizy pages, select the 'Default' Page Template by selecting the 'Page' icon on the left sidebar and then 'Default' option under "Page Template". The page will reload with the theme header and the theme footer. You can then delete the Brizy header and footer from the page.

Please visit https://brizy.tech/ for an illustration of a website created with the Brizy Default Page Template: The Brizy Default Page Template option is enabled on the test website's Home, About, and Contact pages, while the Blocksy theme is used on the blog page located at https://brizy.tech/blog/. All pages maintain a uniform appearance since they share the same header and footer.

This will be a membership site, so will using the theme template make this option not work? If I'm not using Brizy for the blog, then there is no way to use Brizy's membership functionality on the blog, correct?

Hi Daniel,
For this to work, you will need to use a dynamic template to take advantage of the membership features.

This is best explained on this YouTube video - https://youtu.be/IYvNMjYa778
Otherwise, there are third-party membership sitest that you can use to accomplish this:

Thank you, but I know how to use your membership feature... my question is, if I can't use Brizy for the posts, then there's no workaround for using both the Ajax Load More plugin and the Brizy membership functionality, is that correct?

Hi Daniel,
In the above-mentioned approach, you can stylize your blog posts using Brizy. You can use the Default Page Template (header and footer from your theme) for your blog posts as well. The body of your posts will be designed in Brizy, but your theme will provide the header and footer. Please choose any blog post from the list at https://brizy.tech/blog/ for an example. As you can see, the header and footer are developed using the theme, but the blog post content is created with Brizy. If you want us to make a screen recording explaining the procedure, kindly het back to us.
Since you want to integrate the WordPress Infinite Scroll - Ajax Load More plugin to your blog, the blog page needs to be developed using your theme. Every other page can be designed using Brizy.
Brizy Membership feature can be used even when developing your pages and blog posts using Default Page Template. You can make different blocks within a page/blog posts visible to users who are assigned a specific role.

Kc, thank you... yes, if you could do a screen recording that'd be awesome... I've never used the default along with Brizy so I'm not clear on how that'd work with the Brizy membership function...

Also, I should have noted that the plugin did work within Brizy via shortcode and it could be modified via CSS... but the Brizy templates apparently can't be reused as PHP... does that change anything as far as how it could be used in Brizy?

Hi Daniel,
View my screencast at https://jmp.sh/Cf72oR85 where I describe how you can setup blog posts using the Default Page Template.

I'm sorry; I could not understand your statement "the Brizy templates apparently can't be reused as PHP." Can you elaborate?

I don't really understand either, but that's the language the plugin developer used... see the his answer to my question below:
My Message to plugin dev:

Hi Daniel,
Is the template used for the item layout in brizy reusable in the form
of a PHP template? If so, then yes.
----------So whatever he means, it sounds like the plugin would work if Brizy's templates meet that standard...
The plugin's website does define what a reusable template is, although it's above my knowledge base... I the link is below

Hi Daniel,
It seems that the ALM templates are intended to be integrated with WordPress themes (instead of page builders), based on the Ajax Load More documentation. Therefore, I recommended that the blog page be created using your theme.
A Brizy developer needs to comment if Brizy templates are reusable in the form of a PHP template. If you have purchased the Ajax Load More plugin and have integrated their shortcode to a Brizy page, we can take a look at your WordPress Dashboard to see if it can work with Brizy.

KC,
It does work with page builders... Elementor example: https://connekthq.com/elementor-infinite-scrolling/
Here is a test page I created with Brizy using the plugin's default template and shortcode: https://christianevidentialism.com/ (I can send you login in a DM or email)... please let me know how to send it...
What's needed is the ability to convert the Brizy template into php and then paste it into the plugin's "template" field (see screenshot)...

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for the update.
Unfortunately, this functionality is not currently available with Brizy; it may require some coding to implement.
However, as my colleague mentioned in the previous response, this feature could potentially work on your theme's blog page. We recommend giving this approach a try.
We also encourage you to submit this as a feature request on our website at https://www.brizy.io/ideas-and-roadmap. Our team will carefully review all suggestions, prioritizing those that gain popularity or considering them for inclusion in our development roadmap.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Best regards,
