    Hi Nicole,

Kindly follow the procedure in this screen recording to add an A Record and a CNAME record to your domain name.https://jmp.sh/NBBNWcY8 This procedure will work only if you have registered your domain name with Namecheap.com

Once you have added the two records, if you see an error on your website, kindly get back to us. We will install the SSL certificate for you.

    Hi KC,

Thanks for your helpful instructions. I see that what I need to do is actually transfer the domain from journoportfolio.com to Brizy. Can you help me with this?

    Best,
    Nicole

    Hi Nicole,

As per the Whois lookup at https://www.whois.com/whois/nicolegottselig.com your domain name is registered with Namecheap Inc at https://www.namecheap.com/

The domain is currently pointing to journoportfolio.com because of the A Record and the CNAME records added to your domain

If you sign into your domain registrar account and modify the A Record and the CNAME record as per the instructions given in my previous comment, it will transfer the domain from journoportfolio.com to Brizy Cloud.

Thanks so much. I can't seem to login into Name Cheap though. Do you know how I can do this so they recognize me as the domain owner? Journoportfolio must have registered me on Name Cheap.

    Hi Nicole,

Kindly find out the process to redirect the domain nicolegottselig.com to another website from Journoportfolio Support. Please inform them that you would like to change the domain's A record and CNAME record.

    Hi KC,

Here is the information I have from Journoportfolio:

    Your Authorization Code is:
    For Domain: nicolegottselig.com

I tried to do this on Name Cheap but it won't let me. Do you know where I need to go to do this transfer? Or can you do it on Brizy?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Nicole,

If you have not signed up with Namecheap, kindly signup at https://www.namecheap.com/myaccount/signup/

Please provide your Namecheap account email to  Journoportfolio and request them to initiate the 'Change Ownership' in Namecheap following this process https://jmp.sh/Yq4QzmcA

You will then receive an email with instructions on how to take over domain ownership. If this is not working, it could be because they have not unlocked the domain for transfer. Kindly confirm with Journoportfolio if they have unlocked the domain

    Hi KC,

The domain is now in Namecheap. Should I make Brizy the domain manager now or keep as Namecheap?

    Many thanks,

    Nicole

    Hi Nicole,

You don't need to make Brizy a domain manager. Kindly follow instructions in this screen recording to point your domain name to your Brizy Cloud website https://jmp.sh/NBBNWcY8
