Superscript functunality

I've tried to follow the instructions from the related posts regarding this question, but it hasn't worked for me, the preview is showing the ^text tag and not reading it as a code. Please advise on how I can get this done

  Thank you for reaching out to us.

  Could you please let us know where you are trying to use the <sup> tag? If you are using it in a post, you will need to switch to HTML mode to apply this tag, as shown in this example.
