Brizy.site is blocked

Hi,

We have been investigating the holde day together with our internet provider why our website is down (fygi.no) that is hosted by you.

We have now got following information:

Then we investigated. It turns out that your website is under a blocked list with the provider we use for filtering domains. We use Spamhaus's filtering.

www.fygi.no uses the CNAME passionfruit19842863.brizy.site.

So thus: www.fygi.no is translated (CNAME) to passionfruit19842863.brizy.site and the domain brizy.site is on Spamhaus' blocked list. You can click on Spamhaus yourself and enter the CNAME and you will see that it is blocked. You can find the link here: https://check.spamhaus.org/

Can you please assist?

  Hi Espen,

  Thank you for reaching out to us.

  We reached out to Spamhaus, unfortunately, they said they can't reveal the specific factors why our domain name brizy.site was included in the DBL. However, we were told that it will eventually drop out of the DBL as long as we follow good reputation practices. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do at this point and wait until they remove the domain from the blacklist.

  In any case, your primary domain name is not blacklisted, so this means that the reputation and accessibility of your domain name www.fygi.no should not be affected. The blacklist primarily applies to the specific CNAME host address or domain name.

  

  The only issue that you may face in this case is email delivery, however, looking at your DNS records, it appears that you're using Office365 and your DMARC DNS records are setup properly. Office365 is a solid email service provider, so I think you won't have any issues here too.

  

  Since the CNAME record we use for domain redirect was blacklisted, can you tell us specific issues that you have encountered?

  Hello,

  The problem is that most internet service providers (ISPs) have blocked the website since they use spamhaus.

  This must be a big problem for many of your customers without them even realizing it, as spamhaus provides services globally to ISPs.

  We only have access to the website (fygi.no) via mobile network and this is the same for our customers.

  Problem is that brizy.site is blocked and that is used for CNAME on the domain.

  

  Can you change domain or any other solution to get the website up and running?

  Hi Espen,

  Thank you for the update.

  We have escalated your request to our senior support team and have submitted another request to have brizy.site removed from the blacklist.

  In the meantime, we have attached your domain to an alternate account while we work to resolve this issue. 

  Could you please update the current CNAME record and point it to passionfruit19842863.eunixa.site in your DNS records? 

  Once you've made this change, please let us know so we can perform another check.

  Hi Espen,

  Spamhaus has confirmed that they have removed the subdomain brizy.site from their blacklist. Please check a URL with the brizy.site subdomain (such as passionfruit19842863.brizy.site) at https://check.spamhaus.org/ and confirm.

  Can we detach your account from the "eunixa" dashboard? You will be back in your Brizy Cloud Dashboard. You will also need to reset the CNAME record to passionfruit19842863.brizy.site
