Timeout issues when saving pages

I am having timeout issues when saving pages to the point where it takes a couple hours to update a page that should only take minutes. I see that others have had this issue as well. I have a very fast internet connection, the most up to date version of Brizy, all plugins, cleared cache, etc, etc. Please advise.

  Hi Shaun,

  Ideally a Brizy page with a 6-7 blocks should save within 2-3 seconds. Please have a look at my test here https://jmp.sh/UI6Yi5jE  If your pages get timed out while trying to update, you will need to investigate the root cause by asking a few questions

  • Is your website hosted on a shared server with limited resources available?
  • Do you have more than 20 plugins on your website? (The higher the number of plugins, the slower the website gets)
  • Do you have many months of page revisions saved in your WordPress Database? (Page revisions take space in the WordPress database and this can slow down the website)

  • Is your WordPress Database too big and does it require optimization?
  • Is you website using close to 100% of the server resources allotted to it? 

  You may also want to discuss this issue with your hosting provider and see what advice they may have.
