Brizy and Astra pro
Hello,
I hope you're well!
I have a question about Brizy page builder and Astra pro plugin that i have on my website. As I'm a beginner in web design and development, I initially purchased Astra pro theme a year ago after researching about it online. However, after inspecting my website code, I've realized that I almost never used my Astra pro plugin except making a sticky header with it on my website. Can you please, tell me if i can make a sticky header with brizy or not?
Also, can you please help me identify where else I potentially used in Astra pro theme to build my website? I contacted Astra support before and they advised me to create a staging site. Since I'm still learning and I've already faced different web issues previously that caused me a lot of stress, I'm honestly afraid to crush my website right now.
All I need to do is to check whether I can use only Brizy for my website and remove Astra pro license without affecting my current web design and functionality. Do you think you can help me with this? I would really appreciate your help. Here is my blog: www.alpacayourstuff.com and I'm happy to provide you with WP access if required so you can help me find a solution to my query.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Elizaveta

Hi Elizaveta,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I have inspected your site, and it appears that you are already using Brizy's sticky header.

Hello Ariel,
Thank you for your reply! Okay, that's strange because Astra Pro team mentioned to me that sticky header is used via Astra Pro, here is the screen recording that they sent to me previously: https://bsf.d.pr/v/4NTTvG
Apart from that, have you found any other potential area where I've used Astra Pro plugin? I know i might have used it unintentionally thats why Im not sure where else can it be on my blog. I just want to make sure once I cancel Astra pro license, my website wont break and function as usual. However, in case I have Astra Pro used somewhere else and Brizy cant substitute it, then i will have to leave Astra pro as it is.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Best regards,
Elizaveta

Hi Elizaveta,
Thank you for the update.
The function is there but it's not being used. To confirm this, you can temporarily disable astra addons and check if the sticky header works. You can always enable it back in case something breaks.
Or, you might consider setting up a staging version of your website. This would allow you to test the disabling of their plugin and even switch to a different theme, preferably one from our list of compatible themes, to see if any functions on your website are affected. This plugin is free and will allow you to easily create a staging version of your website or make a full backup. I have included a tutorial video and a link to help you accomplish this:

Hi Ariel,
Thank you for your help! As for the theme, is it essential to use it at all for a website? Or the website can still function properly without using a theme?

Hi Eliza,
For developing a WordPress website, you will need a theme. Astra is a recommended theme https://www.brizy.io/theme-partners. Hence feel free to continue to use it.

Hello,
Thank you for your response! I have one more question: if you've observed that I dont use Astra pro plugin at all on my website (based on a code inspection), does it mean that i can disable cancel my paid license (Astra Pro) and carry on using only Astra theme FREE version? Or i still need Astra pro for that?
Best regards,
Elizaveta

Hi Elizaveta,
Thank you for the update.
Since your website header and footer are designed using Brizy, Astra Pro plugin may not have a useful function in your website. To confirm this, please deactivate Astra Pro plugin and check if you observe any changes. Once you confirm this, feel free to delete Astra Pro
In case you found out that one of your pages use their Pro features, your site should continue to work as it is. However, you will no longer have access to their premium support and pro features updates.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Best regards,
