Legally Use Affiliate Links

Hello! I have an urgent issue with a new website I'm building. 

It seems that Brizy doesn't allow for affiliate links to be marked as affiliates nor "reads" the tags I applied on the Pretty Links plugin to tag those links as sponsored.

See below, a picture of the same link used on a post (it gets the correct tags) but then, on a page made with Brizy (it doesn't get marked as sponsored):

 

So I need your help making this process correct and compliant. How can I add the sponsored tag inside of the Brizy builder (even if not natively)? Anything I can do on the Advanced tab?

This is a real issue for blogs, and I've been working with a few bloggers, so it's important to find a solution as soon as possible.

  Hi Sofia,

  Looks like Brizy does not handle the tags associated with affiliate links well. You may need to consider this work around. 

  • Add the page content with the affiliate links directly in the Gutenberg Editor and do not edit the page with Brizy.
  • Under Brizy - Templates, create a page template for each page and create your Brizy design in the page template.
  • Use the Brizy 'Content' element to bring in the content added in the Gutenberg Editor to the Brizy template.

  Sorry, I didn't understand much of what you said. Would you mind recording a video as you mentioned?

  How would this fix the issue if I'm still designing inside Brizy?

  As a side note, I already designed the entire website. And I can't design in Gutenberg... 

  I just tried with Thirsty Affiliates instead of Pretty Links, but it doesn't seem to work either, although I set the settings to be using the correct rel= tags, Brizy doesn't read them or something. I need to force the sponsored tag somehow

  Hello again, Sorry KC before you and I waste our times... I think I found a solution for forcing these with Thristy Affiliates. I'll have to change all the links, but at least I might not have to redesign all the website pages.

   

  Could you help me confirm this is correct?

   

  If you visit this link: resources and inspect the MailerLite hyperlink, do you see all the necessary affiliate "rel" tags?

   

  Thanks so much! Unfortunately I don't think this is possible with Pretty Links though.

  Great :) Thank you!! Then there's no need for the video recording. I'll go ahead and swap all the links and change the plugins.
