Remove Unyson plugin after rebuilding pages in Brizy?

    Hi Harley,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can delete Unyson after rebuilding your pages.
However, since you will rebuild your site with Brizy, we suggest creating a fresh staging site with PHP v8 already installed.  This will ensure compatibility and will allow your old website, built with the Unison framework, to work while you are rebuilding your pages.

After you have finished rebuilding your site in the staging environment, you can backup your old website, update to PHP8 in your production site, and move your new website to set it live.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

Thanks - Do I still use the Core Theme while rebuilding with Brizy or do I need to remove the Core Theme?

    Hi Harley,

The Core theme is not being maintained. Please use one of these recommended themes. https://www.brizy.io/theme-partners

Understood that Core is not being maintained. I have the Brizy Pro Wordpress Plugin and am trying to rebuild using the "Advisors" page templates. However, this does not have the same features as Core for overall theme settings. So how do I adjust theme settings? Do I need to install a theme or can i just use the "Advisors" template?

    Hi Harley,

You have mentioned that you are using the 'Advisors' design layout (https://advisors.brizy.site/) as a starting point to recreate your website in Brizy. You also said "this does not have the same features as Core for overall theme settings". I am sorry; I could not fully understand you here.

WordPress requires you to use a theme; hence you must install a theme. However, the design you create in Brizy is independent of the theme customization options. As a result, while designing a page with Brizy or any page builder, the customization options available within your theme are irrelevant.

In principle, you can use any theme available in the WordPress theme repository. However to avoid compatibility issue between Brizy and the theme, we recommend these themes. https://www.brizy.io/theme-partners

Thank you. I have removed both the Unyson Framework and Core theme (one or both are not compatible with PHP 8). I have installed Blocksy and will proceed to use the Brizy "Advisors" layouts to build new pages.
