PNG ugly on custom / Original width in % only / SVG is wrong export to github
Yes, the title is the same, and it translates the sequence of frustration that we have when using Brizy in simple things. Let's go!
See the following scenario:
In the Header where we define the site's logo, I start by trying a PNG with the Custom option.
The result is a horrible PNG with poor quality, not to mention that Custom option. Custom what? If this is to do a dawn-scaling of the image, where are the options for me to choose the appropriate level???
Let's switch to the Original option, and boom!!! Width can now only be used as a percentage!!
Bad! Too bad!
Let's try an SVG logo that won't lose resolution. Wonderful, now we can set the width in PIXEL and everything is beautiful...
Do not wait...
The Site exported to Github, in turn integrated with Vercel, receives a broken and invalid SVG!!!

People like this?? Are you in need of help? Look, we can arrange something... I think I can help them solve many problems in development.

Hi Adson,
I just deployed a Brizy Cloud website on to Vercel. Please see my test deployment here. https://digiwork.vercel.app/ I am using a PNG logo for this website. The logo seems to load fine. Here is my Brizy Cloud project: https://digiwork.brizy.site/
I am not able to reproduce the issue you are reporting. What are the steps we must follow to reproduce the issue you are facing?

KC,
In this post I report 3 situations. Please read carefully and you will see that I claim:
- Logo in PNG with the image font option set to Custom. If the logo has details and texts, these are visibly serrated and with low resolution.
- Logo in PNG with the image font option set to Original. This way the image stays with the original resolution solving the issue of aliasing and low resolution. BUT... In the width and height options there is only the width option, only with the option to set the width in PERCENTAGE and no longer in Pixel as in the CUSTOM option.
- When I set a logo in SVG format (vector), I can already set the width in pixels, but the site is exported with an INVALID SVG file!
I didn't understand what you didn't understand.0 -
Hi Adson,
Coming to your specific points
- If the custom size option does not work for you, please use the 'Original' size option.
- Are you implying that using percentage has some disadvantage over using Pixels? What are the disadvantages?
- I deployed another website today with an SVG logo. https://school123.vercel.app/ The logo does not display on the Vercel deployment. Its possible that SVGs do not work well with 3rd Party Hosting options. Please use JPGs and PNGs when deploying a Brizy Cloud website to a 3rd Party free hosting provider.
