URGENT: Wordpress 6.2 update broke my site in many places, even after Brizy & Brizy Pro update to latest version
I woke up to a frustrated, urgent text from one of my clients. After 2 hours of stress trying to revert to backups, I discovered that my host (Siteground) autoupdated Wordpress, and many things from Brizy builder got broken. I am very disappointed that Brizy didn't warn Pro users of this.
I tried updating Brizy after the problems in the site, and the problems still existed!
1. Pancake menu not working at all in mobile
2. Missing Testimonial slider
3. Missing text
4. Missing images
And more.
Please advise why this wasn't advised, and when we can upgrade to 6.2. And why these basic functionalities got broken so horribly???
Another Issue (Feeback really): See support history 22983
I had asked for help from Brizy support on a sticky navigation bar my client requested but I couldn't get to function/look ok in Brizy. The support rep helped, but did it globally and left it LIVE, unfinished and not working, in the website (!) After doing some work in there Saturday, I asked for support again since the site navigator green bar is not sustaining in the sticky menu, and has different behavior (only visible during scroll) on mobile. I made it very clear to not leave a global change in the site, but support did it anyway and I just had to undo the work.
It is wonderful that support helps in these ways, but it is critical that they don't impact the live site negatively.

Hi Barry,
Sorry that you're having a hard time with this issue, and I apologize for the misunderstanding in your last ticket.
The issue appears to be originating from SiteGround Optimizer, please temporarily disable it, clear your cache and see if it resolved the issue.
If it does, enable it and hit purge the SG cache at the top bar, if this made no difference, go to the Frontend Optimization and disable Minify CSS files, Combine CSS Files, Minify JavaScript Files, Combine JavaScript Files.
In addition, please ensure that you are already using the most recent versions of both Brizy and Brizy Pro.
(Brizy Version 2.4.18 and Brizy Pro Version 2.4.17)After doing the above, purge the cache again and see if this resolves the issue.
If this made no difference, we may need access again to your WP Admin credentials to further investigate the issue.
Best regards,

Ariel, Thank you for the detailed (and apparently correct!) analysis. Siteground support had reverted me to an older version of Wordpress, and the site worked, but I just discovered for only 24 hours, then it got damaged again ? - Which I just fixed with your recommendations. Is there something Brizy developers can do to stop this from happening? I have many other sites and page builders where this kind of thing didn't happen with the Wordpress update and SiteGround's Optimizer, so I think that the problem is more Brizy "non-standardness" than SG since all of my other sites were not effected by SG Optimizer during this update. Again, thank you for you exacting help...Phenominal, but still troublesome overall since I had to disable speed features, which is the reason I chose SG! - Barry Barry Lippold | Managing Director barry@nthdegreegroup.net (920) 543-5569

Hi Barry,
Thank you for the update.
Our developers are already aware of this issue and a fix should be available soon.
Meanwhile, I recommend temporarily disabling SG Optimizer, you can also try using a similar plugin until we have released the update to resolve this issue.I apologize for the inconvenience.
Best regards,

Amazing thank you, had the same issue and disabled Sitegound optimizer, all working now :)

Hi Ariel,
Any update on Brizy working with SG Optimizer? Their Optimizer is the best I've used, specifically tailored to their stellar hosting plans, so I don't like the performance hits from not having it.
Let us know,
Thanks!
Barry

Hi Barry,
Thank you for keeping in touch. I'm afraid that this is an ongoing issue.
In the meantime, in your WordPress Dashboard under SG Optimizer - Frontend - JavaScript tab, disable the option "Minify JavaScript Files" option and check if the issue gets resolved? Please see this screenshot - https://jmp.sh/zCgTD3jw
Please try this and let me know how it goes.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,
Sorry to hear that the developers still haven't fixed this issue, but I was able to turn on SG Optimizer, and over on the "Javascript" tab, allow all of the major controls EXCEPT the one you mentioned, "Minify Javascript." With only that one off and the rest of the CSS and Javascript settings "On," the site is still working.
Please advise in this thread when the problem is fixed and we can re "minify" for even greater site speed.
Thank you!
- Barry

Hi Barry,
We have developed a fix for this issue at our end. This fix will roll out as part of one of the future updates of Brizy. We will attempt to update this thread when it happens in the future.
