Page won't save when using links

After using a link, blocks, lay-outs and the pages itself won't save anymore. Please help me out!

  Hi Romy,

  Can you please elaborate the issue in more detail?

  1. When you say when using links, were you adding hyperlinks to a text, image, icon or button? What happens when you add a hyperlink? 
  2. You have mentioned that Blocks, layouts or pages wont save. What do you see on the screen when trying to save a page? If you see an error, what is it? 
  3. Can you share a screenshot or do a screen recording to help us understand the problem better?

  Thanks for your reply. I have used different links. Links in a text to a website, but for now more important to YouTube links for video's.

  I added some screenshots (they are Dutch), they mention: 'couldn't make saved block' - Couldn't save layout' and 'This page needs to be refreshed. You probably updated this page (or another page) in a different tab or browser'.

  I am sure it's not opened in a different tab or browser, so that should not be the problem. Also I have enough web space left. I tried in two different sites and both have the same issue.

  Hi Romy,

  These error messages you're seeing indicate that a software in your hosting server environment is interfering with Brizy editing.  A legitimate request from Brizy may be blocked if it is flagged as potentially harmful by such software. Please sign-in to your hosting account and check to see if any of these software is activated in your server management system (like cPanel)

  • Security system
  • Malware protection
  • Firewall
  • DDOS

  Disable these systems one by one and check if that makes a difference.

  Please make sure you haven't installed a plugin with a similar function in your WordPress Dashboard. Deactivate each such plugin to check whether the problem goes away. In conjunction with your hosting provider, relax the security measures to permit Brizy editing once the interfering software has been identified.

  Please contact us again if you need assistance in identifying the interfering software. We will require access to your WordPress Dashboard to troubleshoot this for you.

  I once had the same problem, and after a month, I finally found out it was because of the "crawler" feature in the Litespeed Cache plugin. I turned it off, and finally my pain was over, this is maybe your problem too, if not, I tried to help!

  Hi George,

  Thank you for your reply. The strange thing about this is that in any other way (also with different page builders) the links can be used. Only in Brizy it's not possible. So I think it should be something with the Brizy page builder. The other page builders I tried it with are not longer active since the rest of the site is made with Brizy, but I just used them to try it out and those worked normally.

  I agree that the problem is with Brizy's incompatibility with another software. Please see if you can identify the incompatible software. If you cannot identify the incompatible software, please get back to us, we will help you fix it.

  Could you follow instructions I had given you 3 hours ago? Please confirm. After following those instructions, if you are unable to find the interfering software, please get back to us. We will troubleshoot  this issue for you.

  Hello,

  I asked my hosting provider (strato), since I cannot get in to those settings myself. 
  But if the links work in any different way of building the page, it is probably not blocked within the hosting I guess? I have no reply yet, so I'm not sure right now.

  I just got a message from my hosting, telling me I can't change anything in the server. Could you please help me out? I did not get a reaction to my mail yet, but I'm trying to get help from Birzy since thursday last week.. I really need help please

  Hi Romy,

  Thanks for giving us access to your WordPress Dashboard. I have attempted to reproduce the above error at my end. I could not. Please have a look at my test here https://jmp.sh/tSeBAkfz  What steps should I follow to see the error you are seeing?

  I noticed that some of your pages are edited using Elementor and Brizy. Your homepage is an example. Editing a page with two page builders is not a recommended practice. This can invite errors. 

  

  Please also sign into your WordPress Dashboard from a private (incognito) window of your browser  and check if you see the same error.

  Thank you for testing. I tried using links for youtube video's. All video's on this page: https://www.doculuslumus.com/videos/ 

  When I make a block for all those video's, I can't save it after putting those links in.

  By the way, incognito makes no difference. We have tried this, but also tried fixing it via different computers and they all don't work..

  Hi Romy,

  When trying to recreate the page https://www.doculuslumus.com/videos/ I see the error messages when the number of videos exceed six. The PHP Post Max size is set to 128MB. I guess when adding more than 6 videos, the page could be crossing the Post Max size.  https://jmp.sh/1ChVRWj5

  Please request  your hosting company to increase the Post Max size to 2 GB since you want to add 16 videos on a single page and then check again if the issue persists. 

  With 11 pages, 20 products, 23 active plugins and 13 inactive plugins, you also may want to consider if you have a need to upgrade the hosting resources for your project.

  Hi Romy,

  I tried adding 18 YouTube videos to a page and it works fine at my end. https://brizy.support/videos/ Brizy does not impose a restriction in terms of the post file size.

  If the error still persists, you may have to either increase the post max size further or consider splitting the 16 videos into 2 pages (page 1 and page 2) to reduce the file size per page. The PHP Post Max size of my test website is 8GB.

  But even if I try one or two video's it doesn't work.. I don't understand why it will not work. I just really have to paste all those video's to this site and it's not possible with Brizy on my websites. Also on a different site it will not work and gives the same errors

  Update: I tried using the 'standard' video's. Those work. But as soon as I paste my own link to Youtube the error occurres.

  Hi Romy,

  I could add 8 of your videos to a page. After the 8th video, it started giving error. https://defport.nl/test/

  When it works with other YouTube videos, why it does not work with your specific videos is a mystery too. I guess more troubleshooting is required to get to the root of the issue.

  Okay, that's more then I managed to get on there! Yes, any differrent link then the 'stongest lion' video will not work on my end, so that's strange..

  For the first 4 videos, I have added the original YouTube video thumbnails. Please do the same for the remaining 12 videos. If you do not have access to the YouTube channel, feel free to use this service to download the YouTube thumbnails for your videos. https://www.softr.io/tools/download-youtube-thumbnail   

  Please also confirm that the correct YouTube links are added to each video.

  Hi George,

  Thanks, unfortunately this also won't save after any change and the lay out won't save. 

  For now I fixed it with making a block in Elementor, with that plugin I can use all video’s as it should. Of course it’s not ideal to use different builders, but it leaves me no choice since no 'solution' works.
