totally confused on blog posts

Why is the Blog inside Categories? Why does the excerpt not show in the post? A single post doesn't show anything unless you also edit a page--this is not good for clients to have to do an extra step. This doesn't seem like how it's supposed to work! See attached screenshot--there is no excerpt. Site is https://pomegranate15581074.brizy.site/blog when you click to see the post there is nothing there even though there should be a title , excerpt and text. See Test 3, I only got Test and Test 2 to show anything by adding a saved block but then it is the same text in both!

  It is possible to include Excerpt in your blog listing. Please have a look at this example: https://digital-works.brizy.site/posts

  Thanks for the reply. I did figure it out but it's not very intuitive at all.
