Contact form not working with Gmail
Hi, suddenly the forms in Brizy/Brizy Pro WP isn´t working. I configured the mail settings for the contact form but it i'm not receiving mails to Gmail while it says the email was sent successfully, and I get the message to Brizy Leads in the back end. I used the Wordpress option when setting up the form, not the Gmail version. This has always worked before this on several sites, but now suddenly it doesn´t. Its the same on my site where I build the site and on the clients site, so its the same on two different sites. I tried to install older versions of Brizy and Brizy Pro but it´s still not working. I changed the mail option to the mail I have via my webhost, and that worked, but not with gmail-addresses or an Yahoomail I also tried. Its not in the spam folder, I looked there too. What can i do, please help, this is getting very frustrating when working with clients and things don´t work as they should.

Hi Sarah,
When using the WordPress option to send out email notifications, your email will be sent out through WordPress' PHP Mail feature. Few webhosts like GoDaddy do not support PHP Mail. Please confirm that PHP Mail is supported by your web hosting company.
Email notifications can be easily suspected as SPAM, so these messages may not reach the recipient. Please follow these best practices to avoid having your mail rejected by mail servers.
- Subject: Please don't omit the subject line. Give a meaningful subject. You can include a subject, such as "Contact Form."
- From Email: Make sure the 'From" Email' you use has the same domain as your website. The 'From Email' field on a form hosted at CNN.com can be form@cnn.com or info@cnn.com
- From Name: This field must not be left empty. Give a meaningful 'From Name'
If none of the above helps, please give us access to your WordPress Dashboard. We will take a look.

Hi,
I don´t think the problem lays with the webhost, I have several websites at the same host and there have never been this problem until now. But I have not had any time to check all the sites yet and see if they have this problem now. I will do that next week and also check with my webhost. In the past I have never filled in the From Email and the From Name in the form setup, but it has worked regardless of this. With this website I don´t have an email that has the same domain as my website, so I couldn´t try that, but I filled in the other things you said but that didn´t help.
My Wordpress dashboard if you want to take a look:
Thank you,Sarah

Hi Sarah,
I tested the form at https://wmdwebb2.se/aez-kontakt. I did not receive a form email notification in my Gmail also. This feature however works on my test website.
To investigate this further, can we do do these?
- You have said "I changed the mail option to the mail I have via my webhost" When was this test done? If you redo the test today, would you receive email notifications from the form?
- Please check with your web host if they permit sending emails through PHP Mail function in WordPress. Possibly they permitted this in the past and now stopped supporting it. Your communication to them could look something like this
I have setup a form on my website at https://wmdwebb2.se/aez-kontakt. I do not receive email notifications from this form in my email. This form relies on the PHP Mail feature of WordPress to send out emails. Can you please confirm if I have access to PHP Mail feature in my hosting account?
If your hosting provider has discontinued support for PHP Mail, we can look at alternate options to setup email notifications.

Hi and thank you for looking into this!
The test with my webhost mail was done a couple of days ago, when I discovered the problem. I am away over the weekend and can not redo the test today, but I will try your sugestions when I get home in the beginning of next week.
Is it likely that It's the webhost when I have other sites at the same webhost and forms works on those sites?
I'll get back to you with the results,
Sarah

Hi,
I installed the plugin WP Mail SMTP, and it seems to be working now. Don't understand why it worked with other sites without the plugin, but at least it solved the problem.
I have another question, I have Brizy Pro with 100 licences/websites, what happens when a year has gone by and its time to renew Brizy Pro, if I have licences left? Lets say I have 50 left, do they get transfered to next year? Or do they just disapear? And I saw you have new plans, which plan do I get transfered to if I just let my subscription continue? The Freelancer with 25 websites? I think mine was called Freelancer, but it was with 100 websites.

Hello Sarah,
When you renew your subscription, you will not convert to a currently available subscription plan. You will remain on the legacy Freelancer plan with 100 licenses (despite the fact that this plan is no longer offered to new clients).
Assume your existing Freelancer plan subscription expires on June 30th, 2024. All of your Brizy Pro licenses are also valid until June 30th, 2024. When you renew your subscription, the validity of all 100 licenses will be extended for a year, until June 30th, 2025; this applies to both used and unused licenses. Under the WP Licenses page in your brizy.io account, you can see the status of all your used licenses.
If you have more questions, please get back to us.
