Sitemap incorrect, missing "www"
Hello,
Our sitemap is showing on google that it cannot be indexed because of "redirects". We found out this is because the sitemap is missing the "www." in our url!
example from the sitemap:
<loc>https://bluestarpm.net/contact</loc>
How can we fix this!?
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I have looked at your sitemap at https://www.bluestarpm.net/sitemap.xml The sitemap file does have www for all your URLs.

Testing of your URLs at https://httpstatus.io/ shows zero redirects.

If you can give me access to your Search Console account, I can take a look. Here is the procedure to send an invitation: https://jmp.sh/RmieVznz My search console email: kc.george@gmail.com

Hi there KC! Went ahead and sent you an invite with your email to our search console. For some reason it still shows validation failed for 6 pages with the rationale "Page with redirect"
Also, for some reason we are ranking very low when someone searches "blue star property management" and it links to our "contact" page rather than our main page! But when you search "blue star pm" we are the first search result and it takes the searcher to the home page. Very strange considering all the pages have the same metadata header...is there a way to edit the metadata headers per page? I saw a way to do this for blog posts but not the main pages.
Also, apologies on the delay. The system never emailed me letting me know that you replied even though I am subscribed to the thread!
Thanks!
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
All the 5 pages of your website appear indexed by Google and I do not see any redirect error.

Google may not consider meta data as a ranking factor. To rank higher for the keyword "blue star property management" you could consider using this keyword richly on your homepage. For example,
- Add a heading with the keyword "blue star property management"
- Use this keyword on the paragraph text few times
- Add the same keyword as Alt Text to your images
After making the above changes, you can request reindexing of your pages in Search Console. Since yours is a new website, it may take a while for your website to gain ranking.

Thank you for the suggestions for google search. We will implement some of them. What is alt-text?
For the search console, please see the screenshot showing the 6 failures for the site. Agreed the 5 main pages are indexing correctly, but somehow it is pulling 6 others that are not. Thank you

Hi Daniel,
Alt text (alternative text) provides a description of an image and its use on a page. It is indexed by search engines to better comprehend the content of your website, and is read aloud by screen readers used by people who are visually impaired. In Brizy Cloud, its called Alt Title. You can add Alt Title here https://jmp.sh/CiwSUEeV
You have 5 pages on your website and all 5 are indexed. If URL 1 redirects to URL2, Google will only index URL2. Your URL https://bluestarpm.net/ redirects to https://www.bluestarpm.net/. Hence Google will only index https://www.bluestarpm.net/
If Google has already indexed https://www.bluestarpm.net/ they will not index http://www.bluestarpm.net/ since they both represent the same page. For these reasons, some URLs which are closely related to the 5 pages you have on your website are not indexed.

thanks KC! we played with the alt text feature. hopefully it helps.
just seemed weird to us that 5 pages that we intended were indexed but 6 reported clear failures per the screenshot. understood your point though.
Daniel
