    Hi Stijn,

I'm sorry; I could not understand your request well. Could you be more specific with your question?

    • Could you please explain what you mean by a pop-up media link?
    • Could you provide an example of a popup link that you want translated? Include a screenshot if you can

    Hi George,

I've created a screenmovie, so you can see the problem. You can download it here: https://we.tl/t-rFUo86yxYP

We would like to translate this.

    Thanks!

    Hi Stijn,

Thanks for the video. From the video, I understand that you have added an icon and an on-click popup to the icon. When clicking on the icon, the popup opens up.

However my question is still not answered. What is the popup media link in this context?

    • Can you paste the link for us?
    • Can you paste another link with the translated text in place of the needed translation?

    Hi George,

The pop-up media in this link is a video on vimeo. So we want to translate the link to another video link. The video is on this page: https://hydract.sg-host.com/ . This is the video for on the translated page: https://vimeo.com/794872478

    Thanks!

    Hi Stijn,

Let me restate what I have understood. You are developing a multilingual website using TranslatePress and Brizy. The primary language is Dutch and you are creating a translation in English. On your homepage you have added an icon and you have linked an on-click popup to the icon. You want to know how you can link to an alternate popup (which plays an alternate Vimeo video) for the English version of your website.

I think TranslatePress allows you to provide translations for different text strings within your page. I am not sure if it allows you to use different media for different language pages; If they do not, it may not be possible to change the popup link for English. Please contact TranslatePress Support to check this.

If TranslatePress does not allow using different media for different languages, please consider these possible solutions.

    1. In place of a single icon in your homepage, provide two icons/buttons and link one to the Dutch video and the other to the English video.
    2. Use Polylang instead of TranslatePress. Polylang allows you to create different pages for different languages. This gives you the flexibility to create one popup for Dutch and another for English pages.

If you decide to go with my second suggestion, please do not try it on your live site. SiteGround allows you to create a staging site. Create a staging site, deactivate TranslatePress and install Polylang in staging. Once you are happy with the setup, then move your design back to the live site.
