Auto add of numbering not able to switch off

Hi

I want to make a row with 4 steps numbering them 1, 2 , 3, 4 but in each column automaticallu goes to one. How can I switch this auto-add off?

  Hi,

  Thank you for contacting us.

  To get around this, please enter the number, don't put the "." yet, instead hit Space, then use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the left, then add the "." in the appropriate spot.
