Questions About Brizy Pro Wordpress
Hello,
I had purchased Brizy Pro for Wordpress. I have selected one of Brizy Pro Wordpress Templates to design my site.
FYI, I want the template to be used for digital product downloads. I have a few questions here.
1) Are Brizy Pro Wordpress Templates compatible with the Easy Digital Download (EDD) plugin?
2) How can I create a shopping cart that is functional within Brizy Pro Wordpress? In other words, when a customer clicks on the shopping cart icon, the item will automatically be added to the cart. If there is a video to do that, it will be awesome.
3) I'm curious too... how can I create a shopping cart within Brizy Pro Wordpress so that multiple items can be added into a cart?
4) Is there a ready template for a store front block in Brizy Pro Wordpress? It is similar to a front store as shown on https://www.wackydecor.com. In other words, the ready block template has category sections on the left side and product sections on the right side. Brizy offers a variety of pre-designed block templates, including header, footer, contact, pricing, map, testimonial, and front cover. However, I couldn't find any block templates specifically for an e-commerce front store as shown on the link?
5) I have also encountered a problem with a Brizy Pro Template. I couldn't add menu if I only added Twenty Twenty-Two Template from Appearance --> Themes. So, I had to add Astra Theme so that "Menu" was not missing under Appearance. Why is it so?
I hope to hear from you. Thank you and have a great day.
Regards,
Jess

Hi Jess,
Thank you for contacting us.
It is possible to create Templates for EDD by enabling it in Brizy settings. Here is the link: https://i.imgur.com/LOV6y6u.png. Certain features such as the purchase link will require the use of short codes, which can be found here: https://i.imgur.com/I0WdMPv.png.
Regrettably, there is no available video demonstration. However, you can achieve this by utilizing Brizy's post element and incorporating EDD shortcodes, as shown here: https://i.imgur.com/YDMtek9.png. By using the posts element to display products and incorporating the EDD shortcode for a purchase button, you can create an archive, as illustrated in the above example.
Currently, there are no pre-designed template specifically designed for an EDD store. However, you can make use of any of the available Brizy Layouts and customize them according to your requirements. You can find these layouts here: https://www.brizy.io/layouts.
About menu option in the new default WordPress themes, they are no longer available under the appearance settings. Instead, you can directly edit menus in the Gutenberg editor.
I can confirm that it is possible to build a shopping website with Brizy and EDD. However, it will require some familiarity with EDD's shortcodes, which can be implemented on your pages. Additionally, you can create custom archive pages and single product templates with Brizy by using various Brizy elements in conjunction with EDD shortcodes. While we strive to offer comprehensive information, this particular topic is quite complex and may take some time to cover in detail. I recommend joining our Facebook Community to gain insights from other users who have successfully built websites with Brizy and EDD.

Hi Ariel,
I was rather disappointed with Brizy templates because
1) I could not find to activate Brizy for "Downloads" under Brizy --> Settings. Please see the attachment at https://postimg.cc/D4hMxQMP As you can see, there are no "Downloads" under Brizy --> Settings.
2) There are no pre-designed templates specifically designed for an EDD store. Brizy templates do not include a layout store template with category sections on the left side and product sections on the right side (or vice versa), like the one shown on https://www.wackydecor.com.
3) I have to learn and be familiar with EDD's short codes. It is very time-consuming especially if I also have to join your Facebook community to understand Brizy.
4) I have to use Gutenberg Editor to have menu displayed under the appearance setting? Isn't Brizy also a WordPress Theme Editor as well?
FYI, I purchased Brizy because I thought that I could create WordPress templates easily and quickly without spending much time with web codes etc.
I think there are a few things Brizy should do:
Please add Brizy layouts for E-commerce front stores (both for physical and digital downloads) so that it can be functional. It is similar to https://www.wackydecor.com. Nowadays, the demand for E-commerce stores has become a necessity for people. It is the reason that most people have websites.
Looking at your response, I got the impression that Brizy templates are mostly for simple e-Commerce templates and static templates.

Jess

Hi Jess,
Thank you for keeping in touch.
1. To access the templates, kindly refer to this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/vnHz9Pd1P-g
2. Unfortunately, there isn't a pre-made template that matches the design of the wackydecor.com website. It appears that they didn't use a ready-made template either; instead, they built their website using a combination of third-party plugins. For instance, they used the annasta Woocommerce Product Filters plugin, which you can find in action on their website. Alternatively, you might also want to explore the YITH WooCommerce Ajax Product Filter, which was used in the sidebar on this Brizy WooCommerce site: https://vitacomfort.nl
The layout and functionality you require will require the help of third-party plugins and will take some time to assemble everything into a fully functional website according to your specifications. This is likely the case with most other page builders as well, unless you purchase a premium theme that already includes the features you need.
3. Regrettably, working with the EDD plugin can be complex, and there may be a learning curve involved.
4. I'm sorry, but I'm unsure about what you mean by "Gutenberg Editor to have the menu displayed under the appearance setting." Could you please provide more information or context on this matter?
We understand the importance of Brizy layouts for E-commerce stores. We're working on expanding our templates to help users easily build and customize their E-commerce sites.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Best regards,

Hi Ariel,I think that you have misunderstood what I meant about my previous point #1. FYI, I have created websites before. So, I knew how to set up Brizy Pre-made templates. I already chose one of Brizy pre-made templates. You wrote that "It is possible to create Templates for EDD by enabling it in Brizy settings. Here is the link: https://i.imgur.com/LOV6y6u.png". But as I mentioned earlier, I could not find to activate Brizy for "Downloads" under Brizy --> Settings. Please see my attachment again at https://postimg.cc/D4hMxQMP There is no "Downloads" that I can tick on.I purchased Brizy so that I could create websites more quickly and simpler. But it turns out that I had to know Brizy short codes and join your Facebook group. In addition to that, I have to use Gutenberg Editor to edit Menu as you said before. You wrote "About menu option in the new default WordPress themes, they are no longer available under the appearance settings. Instead, you can directly edit menus in the Gutenberg editor".If so, why do I need Brizy? I thought that Brizy was also a WordPress Theme Editor? This is what I meant about my previous point #4.You also wrote that "Regrettably, working with the EDD plugin can be complex, and there may be a learning curve involved". I don't think so. There are many WordPress themes that are compatible with and ready for the EDD plugin. So, I would like Brizy to have such feature in the future.Regards,Jess0

Hi Jess,
Can I suggest an approach different from what you are pursuing at the moment? Brizy works well with WooCommerce. It may make sense to consider using WooCommerce to setup your digital products shop instead of Easy Digital Downloads. https://www.wackydecor.com is setup using WooCommerce.
Even though Brizy does not have premade shop templates, you can consider WooCommerce starter sites developed by Astra. Please install the plugin Astra Starter Templates and enable the option "Enable Brizy Page Builder Templates in Starter Templates" in your WordPress Dashboard under Settings - General https://jmp.sh/M6FZgPjJ Then select 'Brizy Page Builder' to see the starter sites made with Brizy.
Using WooCommerce and Brizy you can setup a shop where users can click on 'Add To Cart' button in the Product Catalog page. For instance this page is created using WooCommerce and Brizy. https://brizytest.online/shop/
WooCommerce supports Shopping Cart and users can add multiple products to the Cart. For instance, you can look at this website created using Brizy and WooCommerce. https://glamboxtt.com/
Twenty Twenty-Two and few other WordPress default themes come with support for the full-site editing experience, which changes the options under the Appearance Menu in WordPress admin area. This has nothing to do with Brizy. You can read more about it here How to Fix Missing Appearance Menu in WordPress Admin

Hi KC George,
I installed Easy Digital Download to create a shop where customers can automatically download products after payment. The WooCommerce plug-in is used primarily for products that can be shipped. I don't need such shipping features.I bought Brizy Pro WordPress because I wanted to create online stores for digital and physical products.Unfortunately, I can't use one of Brizy Templates with Easy Digital Download. I like one of Brizy Templates since it is in line with my product themes that I am going to create. You are now suggesting that I have to use Astra Starter Templates instead of Brizy Pro Templates. It looks like I wasted my money on Brizy. FYI, Astra Strater Templates do not have the themes I am looking for. Please consider incorporating pre-designed block templates for front-end stores that include separate sections for categories on the left side and products on the right side (or vice versa) in order to expedite the process of creating web stores in the future.I am asking for this feature because I have a lot of digital products with various categories. Brizy Pro Templates can be tailored only for a few products and categories. Thanks,
Jess

Hi Jess,
We do not offer support on weekends. Hence the delay in getting back to you.
I installed Easy Digital Download to create a shop where customers can automatically download products after payment. The WooCommerce plug-in is used primarily for products that can be shipped. I don't need such shipping features.
Even though WooCommerce is used predominantly for products that can be shipped, it can also be used for selling downloadable digital products. Please have at look at these resources. The tutorial in the second link uses Elementor page builder, but you can get broad idea of the setup process.

- How to Create a FREE Digital Downloadable Products Selling eCommerce Website with WordPress
I bought Brizy Pro WordPress because I wanted to create online stores for digital and physical products.
You can setup a shop with physical and digital products with WooCommerce and Brizy. As I had mentioned in my earlier comment, https://www.wackydecor.com/ is setup using WooCommerce. Please have a look at this screenshot https://jmp.sh/Gz0juc33 On the Inspect panel on the right, please look at texts highlighted in yellow color.
Unfortunately, I can't use one of Brizy Templates with Easy Digital Download. I like one of Brizy Templates since it is in line with my product themes that I am going to create. You are now suggesting that I have to use Astra Starter Templates instead of Brizy Pro Templates. It looks like I wasted my money on Brizy. FYI, Astra Starter Templates do not have the themes I am looking for.
We do not have a premade design layout designed to work with Easy Digital Downloads or WooCommerce. Please share with us the design you want to develop for your shop. We can guide you on how to implement the design using WooCommerce and Brizy.
When you say " Astra Starter Templates do not have the themes I am looking for", do you mean that they do not have a starter template with the sidebar with the product categories and pricing filter? The pricing and category filter can be added using a plugin like YITH WooCommerce Ajax Product Filter For instance, please have a look at this page for a shop setup using WooCommerce, Brizy and YITH product filter. On this page, click on the drop down menu under 'Categorieën' https://vitacomfort.nl/shop/?yith_wcan=1&product_cat=mobiliteit
Please consider incorporating pre-designed block templates for front-end stores that include separate sections for categories on the left side and products on the right side (or vice versa) in order to expedite the process of creating web stores in the future.
If you like the overall look and feel of any Brizy premade design or an Astra Starter template, please use it as a starting point. Later you can add the sidebar with the price and category filter to your product pages.
Please let us know if you require a consulting session to finalize these options. We can set up a Zoom call where you can ask as many questions as you like.
